I mean Durant is very very good, don’t get me wrong, but I still think far as scoring goes, not scoring titles, far as being able to put the ball in the basket numerous ways at a high level I still give that crown to Carmelo Anthony, Melo’s scoring ability is crazy, he can give it to you ANY way you want it, no problem.

I think KD will be a scoring machine but I don’t think he is the most NATUARL scorer in the L  yet.

You could make this argument maybe a season or two ago, but there’s no doubt Durant has passed Melo as a scorer. Durant is better than Melo at every offensive/scoring statistic.

Durant is more efficient. He’s scores more on less shots. Offensively, he doesn’t put the strain on team’s offense that Melo does. Melo is a big time ball stopper and scores mostly off of isolations. You can play Durant off of the ball and move him all around the floor. Durant shoots better from three-point. He gets to the line more and makes a higher percentage. Durant is better in the pick and roll. Durant finishes better around the rim. Durant has now become just as clutch as Melo.

Melo’s strengths over Durant in the past were his strength and mid-range game. I feel Durant has closed the gap in the mid-range department and you have to think adding strength this summer is a point of emphasis for Durant.

Melo shot like 40% versus the Heat in the first round. Durant averaged over 30 and shot 55% versus them in the NBA Finals.
