Steve Nash, an unrestricted free agent, could be heading home to Canada to play for the Raptors, if he doesn’t seek out an immediate championship with a contender. The Raptors are in a position to offer Nash the money and contract he is looking for, and he would truly be huge superstar playing in Canada. Given the fact he can get the money he’s looking for, play in his home country and change the face of basketball in Canada, signing with Toronto isn’t really a stretch.

I can see it happening. The money’s there, and he would be second only to Bieber in popularity in Toronto. I think he would make Derozen and Bargnani that much better. And likely get them into the playoffs.

But i can also see him signing with a contender and looking to get a ring, especially at this stage in his career. It will be interesting to see what he does.

If Ford is right and Barnes falls to the Raptors at #8 I very well could see Nash sign with the Raptors.  I think depending on how the draft works out tonight will have some definite influence on Toronto as a possible destination.

If he leaves Phoenix, he’s going to a contender.

Your right Steve Nash will take Bargnani and Derozan’s game to the next level.  Add Jonas Valanciuous + 8th selection in tonights draft.

Also Raps got a ton of cap space.  Finally the Raptors are looking like they can start making some noise in the East.

I’m a huge Raptor fan, but I’d love to see Nash win a title.  Sign with a contender!

Steve Nash will not resign in Phoenix.  That much is all but obvious.  He has stayed loyal to them for his whole career, basically, and they just haven’t given him the pieces he has needed to contend for an NBA Championship there.  They always traded their draft picks for veteran players that didn’t ever pan out in Phoenix.  They traded guys like Luol Deng and Rajon Rondo, two very good, all-stars calibur players.

I think Nash should sign with Toronto.  As much as I’d like to see him contend for a title, he has to do what is best for his future.  Being from Canada, he will me a Mega-Star player for the Raptors.  Fans will pay money to see Steve Nash in action.

Steve can play one final year in Toronto, maybe lead them to the playoffs as a lower playoff seed, and then retire as one of the greatest point guards of all time, and one of the greatest basketball players to have never won a championship ring.

Nash can then go on to becoming some majoy part of a Canadian Basketball League or even work for the Toronto Raptors organization.  I think he would really enjoy staying around the game of basketball after his body won’t allow him to be a part of it physically, anymore.
