WrecklessParticipantSources say Houston has an offer of Lowry, the #14 and #16 picks for Tyreke Evans and the #5 pick on the table. Up to Sacramento to decide.

Would be a big get for both teams. Tyreke Re-uniting with K-Mart.. until he is shipped to Orlando with the 5th pick as well?

TyroberParticipantI like it for Sactown. The Evans experiment is now over and getting a very solid PG in Lowry as well as the 14th and 16th picks is a good deal. They never seemed to be interested in the 5th pick anyway.

machu46ParticipantI like it for both teams. Would be great for Houston to build around Evans, Barnes, Fab Melo, and Dragic, or something along those lines.

What The DevilParticipantI’m very up in the air on this…I haven’t watched many Houston games so I apologize for not knowing a lot about Lowry so can anyone tell me what type of pg he is? If he is a scoring pg I don’t see why we would pass up the chance at an MKG/Drummond type player for another scorer at a position that isn’t a dire need. Plus I like Tyreke 🙁 it’s not his fault he wasn’t playing a position he wasn’t comfortable with…

omphalosParticipantDoes this mean they give up on keeping Dragic? Or are they going to move Tyreke on in a bid to get Dwight?
Could work though; Drummond, Tyreke, Dragic, Parsons and Motiejunas/Patterson is a pretty decent young group.

What The DevilParticipantIf I were to guess…I would assume Tyreke would be traded also to the Magic for Dwight

machu46ParticipantApparently this deal has been refuted by multiple sources now.
Regarding Lowry, he’s just a good all-around PG. Was playing near an All-Star level last year for awhile if I remember right.
and no, I don’t think Tyreke is a PG, so I don’t think he’d interfere with Dragic.

CynthiaParticipantThis trade makes Isaiah Thomas sad. =(

Supposedly, the Rockets would send Tyreke, K-Mart, the #5, and the #18 pick to Orlando for a one-year rental of Dwight Howard. Yes, I know that sounds stupid, but that’s what’s being reported…

220ParticipantThat seems to be a good deal for both teams. So the Rockets will draft Drummond if the trade goes down then?

Jlv2012and the 5th pick. Great deal. Should be more like Lowry for Tyreke straight up. If Tyreke makes it past the draft, I see him as a king for awhile.

Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantIf I’m the Magic’s GM I’m doing that deal right now and I get the GM of the year title haha

KayjayParticipantBUT I LOVE THIS TRADE EVEN MORE. Finally, it seems like things are going in a different direction. The Kings. Damn I totally forgot about Isaiah thomas though, but I’m pretty sure he’ll be willing to battle it out for a starting job. Most of these Kings except for DMC and Jason Thompson will be battling it out for a starter spot.

MCRIZZParticipantDavid Aldridge Twitter:
"Told there is no way that Kings would do purported offer of Lowry/14/16 for Evans and five if it was even actually offered."

MoneyTeam6ParticipantGreat trade for Orlando if it happens Evans K-Mart and the 5/18 pick

AKOOParticipantLowry is currently the most overrated player in discussions Lowry and 14-16 for Tyreke and 5 would be a bad deal for the Kings. They would be better to sit at 5 and hope a SF falls there which is very likely at this point.

machu46ParticipantKings gotta unload a couple of those chuckers man. Cousins is the guy that you just have to keep. I think Evans just doesn’t work with the rest of that team. They should try to get rid of Salmons or something too.
And Lowry is a good point guard, and more importantly, he’s a legit PG instead of Evans being kind of a wannabe PG.

CodySLCParticipantI wonder were Jimmer fits in with all this? Is he destined to be a backup forever?

dwilks101586ParticipantI remember I got so much crap on here about trading him and that he needed to stay out of the club and work on his jump shot amongst other thing. But now everyone has seen the light and I’m not staying he not goin to get better but what I am staying is "I told u so"
0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/26/2012 - 11:07am #688297
machu46ParticipantCouldn’t agree more. That trade just makes sense for them as a team. It makes sense for both sides really.

PulseGlazerParticipantThe Kings are a bad organization, man. Lowry, 14 and 16 for Evans and 5 is a bad talent trade for Sac, sure, but it quickly makes the team begin to make sense as an actual unit. Sac needs a front office overhaul so damn badly. With 14 and 16 the Kings could target Moultrie and Harkless while seeing if either Henson or Ross fell or even re-package those 2 picks to someone like Toronto and get right back into the Lottery.
