Beard13ParticipantI fully expect team usa too win the gold this summer. I kno they have some key players out like Derrick rose and howard; but we have Durant and Lebron. What country do you see that could give the USA a difficult time?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIf by difficult time you mean not a 30 point loss then probably Spain. With their bigs all being elite NBA bigmen, they can actually only lose by 15.

Seamo15ParticipantDon’t expect much out of Australia this year. We had a best year at Bejing and that wasnt that great a showing. Think we’re without Bogut as well. As unpatriotic as it sounds i go for USA equally because I know the players better.

Anton123ParticipantBasketball championships seem to be more like a battle for the 2nd place, which Spain seems to take every time as well, though Lithuania. France never seems to ever get it together, maybe Russia can make a run, we just sucked off in football, that could motivate the players.

Sewok15ParticipantCanada should be getting better soon…they have a bunch of young guys in the NBA. I highly doubt anyone gives the US a close game this summer though.

sjcmr5SamParticipantCome next olympics Canada may be our toughest competition. They have Andrew Wiggins who is arguably the best player in all of HS bball, they have tristan thompson who could develop into a very respectable big man, and they have talent in the college ranks with guys like Anthony Bennett and Chem Birch

tortueParticipantTony Parker and Joakim Noah could withdraw olympics because of injuries, and that sucks a lot for France.
However France has major players especially on the wings and frontcourt with Batum, Diaw, Seraphin, we are still contenders for the Bronze Medal but we can’t fight against Spain and USA without TP and Jooks.
Keep an eye on Rudy Gobert, French NT rookie with serious upside, could be a lottery pick in 2013.
Like Russia, our very disappointing soccer team could be a motivation for basketball players who are much smarter

Andrew1984ParticipantArgentina is usually decent.

Sotos14ParticipantAlthough USA should be heavily favorites, Spain is capable of stealing a game from them so USA should be careful. Also I expect Greece to be the third best team in the Olympics. Depending on how Bracketing goes I imagine it could finish like this
1. USA
2. Spain
3. Greece (beating Argentina for bronze)

mosdefParticipantSpain is always going to be up there with all the talent they got but Great Britain has a good squad
