I might have missed something, but why did the site’s mock drop Doron Lamb all the way to 38?

I feel hes going way higher than that. I feel he can be a solid NBA player, hes got a great shot. I feel he would be a good pick for Minny at 18

Doran’s a lock for the first round. I’ve been told through a close personal source that Chicago’s already given him a promise with their first round pick. Wroten’s the one that should be falling not lamb.

I have Memphis taking him at 26, they could use someone to replace OJ who needs to be moved this offseason… he’s beginning to impose in the eyes of Memphis’ front office

I don’t think there’s any way he gets past the Bulls at 29, he could be liek an ’08 Ben Gordon for them.

why has Teague shut up so much, Plumlee is not only getting drafted but Aran has him projected at 39…,DJO is also up there now and he wasnt even there a little bit ago, has any team built up hype on Cunningham, and Royce White seems a bit low.

    Any explanations for these?

I feel late in the first – there are quite a few teams looking at a good 3 point shooting SG late in the first round…

In fact I am quite sure Aran will put him higher before draft day rolls around….

If Doron Lamb can be like Ben Gordon for the Bulls that would be ideal, but personally I’d hope he’d be better than Ben. He was a streaky scorer would couldn’t play much defense…hopefully Lamb can be even better.

I think the reason they have Lamb falling is likely his size and lack of defensive skill.

"I think the reason they have Lamb falling is likely his size and lack of defensive skill."

Yet, Dion Waiters is widely believed to be in the lottery. It is silly season. There is no other explanation.

Lamb is the same size, just as athletic if not more so, far more accomplished a player in each of their two years, and a vastly superior shooter at any range. Even if you look at him next to Bradley Beal, Austin Rivers, and Damian Lillard I don’t see how it is possible for someone to think there is a full round difference in their ability and potential. I find the difference is minimal at best. I tend to like Austin Rivers a bit more, but can’t be passionate about the difference. If I can’t have one, I wouldn’t shed a tear over getting the other. I can understand someone in a spot where they want a taller/longer scoring guard to give preference to Terrence Ross or Jeremy Lamb. I cannot see the rationale when looking at scoring guards who are the same size and style.

Lamb is not as athletic as Waiters when it comes to explosiveness or game jumping ability. The Uconn Lamb yes but not the UK Lamb.

As far as dropping, the moch draft is a guess by most of these sites and a guess with info by Chad. The thing is the info is mostly wrong because no team wants anyone to know who they have on their big board because it puts them at a disadvantage if another team knows who they want.  But for some reason fans still think if it says a player is going here or their on a mock draft or if they fall then that must be whats going to happen. Teams put out false info daily to get the players that they want and they know the press will eat it up and put it out there

Chad Ford’s mock drafts always seem way off from everyone else’s for some reason

And does anyone else think that he could be Ray Allen’s replacement in Boston? They’re about same size, close to same athleticism, and they can both shoot the lights out. Lamb can handle it well enough to run point at times also, which will help him when he’s being pressured and his shot is taken away by the defender. I’m not sure they want to take him so high from where they’re sitting, but I feel that he’s very close to Ray and could be a very good replacement.

I agree, Chicago would be a great fit for him. Derrick Rose needs a shooter that’s capable of doing things other than shooting. Korver is extremely one-dimensional, and Lamb could really open things up for Rose. Hamilton could also instruct him on running off screens, even though he’s good at shooting off screens anyway.
