ProudGrandpaParticipantNumerous reports and mocks say that the Celtics seek to draft Marshall, even to the point of trading for a higher pick to secure him. Can someone explain this to me? Point Guard is the one positon they DON’T need

Cavaliers420ParticipantI think they’re expecting backup PG productivity from him, which makes sense since Bradley is more of a shooting guard then PG.

Chilbert arenasParticipantThey love true point guards who are great passers but can’t shoot I guess.

raybeasParticipanton Doc’s last nerve. He’s always had a prickly personality.

KHAM83ParticipantMaybe they like him as their future pg. it’s no secret that Ainge doesn’t truly believe in Rondo without the big 3. If they secure Marshall I think he’ll deal Rondo while his value is at an all time high. If something is done on draft night, I’ll bet Portland as they are enamored with Rondo. Say #6, Nolan Smith, Babbitt and future pick for Rondo. I know he’s maybe worth more but Ainge is about destructing and rebuilding instead of contending with an average team.

WrecklessParticipantWhat does Rondo have to do to prove he is their franchise PG? The guys a baller.

JordanC20ParticipantI don’t trust any sources away from the top 3 in this draft…it always plays out different than expected.

Chilbert arenasParticipantIt’s most likely smoke and mirrors, I’m not reading into it.

Sewok15ParticipantIf they don’t resign Ray Allen and draft Marshall they go from a good shooting team to a bad one in a hurry. If they trade up they are going for a different player and that would most likely be Austin Rivers.

PulseGlazerParticipantThey won’t pick Marshall. Breathe.

B-ball fanParticipantEveryone overreacts to these rumors. How many of the times Ainge has been rumored to be close to dealing Rondo has a deal actually gone through? Maybe Rondo will never free himself from the trade rumors, but I doubt the Celtics actually trade Rondo in the foreseeable future.

Meditated StatesParticipantI doubt Royce is either. Smoke and mirrors.

bammaParticipantHe may have dropped but not that far I believe. Marshall is not a starting calibur pg, so even if the Celtics were to draft him he would be a back up. They have no back pg since Avery Bradley moved to starting SG.

AKOOParticipantI agree that Marshall is not a starting caliber PG and that these rumors are just stupid at this point, Thursday 7EST can’t get here quick enough. Tired of all outlets

aamir543ParticipantThey like Marshall because they’d rather have him backing up Rondo than Keyon Dooling.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantOr maybe they are doing like most teams do every year and that would be putting out bad info
