Hey guys, I can’t sleep even though it’s after 2 am here. I’ve been thinking a lot about the NBA Finals and what OKC could’ve done differently to win it all. If it weren’t for the silly fouls on Harden and Westbrook at the end of two games (could’ve played tight defense and still maintained possession at the end of both games to tie it) or the no call when Durant was fouled at the end of the other games, would we be looking at a GAME 7 on Tuesday? I can’t help but realize that OKC could’ve won the series if it weren’t for the refs and a couple of dumb decisions at the end of two games. What do you all think?

Also, what are your thoughts on Perry Jones III? Where do you think he’ll end up? Do you think he is overhyped? Or was he a poor fit in the Baylor system?

Please answer these questions for me so I can get them off my mind and sleep!!!!

I think about Rashard Lewis when I see PJ3 except Lewis became a pretty good shooter playing with Ray Allen.  I think if PJ3 goes to the right place, he could be a type of player like that.  I just hope he does not develope Lewis’s bad habits.

Also OKC lost because a more physical team played them and even though they got away with a few calls.  OKC did not match their physicality and that is key in winning a Finals.  Also Brooks needs to play his bench more to get production and a change of pace.  Nick Collison had that warrior type game that should have worked pretty well with Miami being physical.

No player is going to use the "Ref made wrong call" cop out. If it comes down to a call you weren’t far enough ahead. MIA deserved this one. Durant has plenty of time to get one. PJ3 will not be good right away if you ask me give him a few years and if HE wants to he could put it all together.

Also Ibaka need to get in the weight room and start owning the offensive boards.  He could have done a better job against Miami.

All of OKC needs to get in the weight room except Perkins.

It appears working with Hakeen in the off season helps good players so KD is next up to do that.

Seriously?  Heat win comprehensively in 5 and you blame the refs?  GTFO. Bad officiating goes both ways.

Let’s just look at this objectively for a second. OKC won game 1. Games 2,3 and 4 were all decided by one possession. So to say they were outplayed to that point is a pretty borderline statement considering the randomness of what can happen in games that are that close. It is not a ridiculous statement to say that OKC could have easily swept this series. So crazy to think. Games 2, and 3 were pretty bad in favor of Miami from an officiating standpoint. As a neutral observe I was getting quite upset at the number and importance of terribel calls going Miami’s way. I do not see it as a stretch AT ALL to say that OKC lost games 2 and 3 due to the way the refs called the games. Game 4 easily could have went there way as well but I do not see it as being the refs doing and Game 5 was, well game 5. I understand it is not considered acceptable to blame the refs, but when they affect the outcome of NBA Finals games, I think it is OK to bring up. You say "if the refs affect the outcome you weren’t up enough." Well Miami wasn’t up enough either considering the games were dead even until the very end, the argument holds water unless you just prefer to ignore it.
