SmooveKRYPTParticipanthttp://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/46492/rockets-set-sights-on-moving-up-in-draft
Looks like they’re talking with Houston about a deal involving one or both of the 14th & 16th picks and maybe Lowry. That would explain SAC scheduling the workout w/ Harkless.
Being a Rockets fan I don’t really like going after Drummond, but with Morey I think it’s part of a bigger scheme to chase Dwight. As for the Kings, I know they really like Henson to put next to Cousins, but 5 is too high for him, he might still be available at 14 and they’d possibly get 16 too. & I’m guessing they like Harkless for the other pick or if Henson is gone.
If this happens it could really shake up the draft if it goes down because whichever SF between Barnes & MKG that Cleveland doesn’t take probably falls to GSW with Lillard going 6 to Portland.

HeelsGuy25Participantgot to this story before me lol I think this has some legs to it and will edit my mock accordingly but will keep tabs on it before the draft.

Wahoo757ParticipantMan my mock is going to be so off with all these (potential) trades.

Codyb1701ParticipantThey are said to really want a vet SF also. I’ve heard a few rumbles about the #5 being packaged to philly for Iggy. Obviously Sac has to give up more but that pick could throw a monkey wrench into mocks.

mamadouParticipantBig time shake in the top 8 in a week.
Wizards trade(no SF), then robinson not a lock at 2, serious domino action, blazers won’t draft a SF at 6, so maybe one available at 7, and what about the 4 lotto SG….
Iggy-deng-lowry for picks in the 5-8 range.
That will be fun.

Stinky34ParticipantI have a friend that lives in Sacramento and he was telling me he heard on the radio that the Kings and Bucks may be discussing a trade that would send Brandon Jennings, Larry Sanders and #12 for Tyreke Evans and #5… The Bucks would take Drummond and the Kings would target Rivers Waiters or Harkless…

surveParticipantI heard that same thing, about Jennings and Sanders for Reke and the 5th pick, so its more than a rumor, obviously it is something that has at least been discussed. So it really looks like Sac will move that pick for whoever comes with the sweetest deal. Also heard that the Bulls being interested in sending Noah and the 29th pick to Sac for Reke and the 5th pick (Drummond) is VERY much an option.

SwatLakeCityParticipantNot quite sure what the actual trade is but it looks like its something like Lowry, 14th and 16th picks to Sacramento for the 5th pick. I don’t think the salaries work in this situation so maybe the Kings give up Salmons to the Rockets as well.
This would be a good trade for the Kings. I respect them, they actually might make a good move after picking Jimmer last year and he ends up being a back up and the last pick of the draft ends up out playing him. Tyreke plays inconsistent, and Cousins still plays pretty erratic. Kings need to build around Cousins and figure out away to get Tyreke to compliment the rest of the team as well. Getting a lineup of Lowry, Evans, Harkless, Henson, and Cousins looks good on paper. You have the defense and raw talent of Harkless, you have a proven scorer and distributor in Lowry, maybe he could help Tyreke learn to shoot and be more valuable, and then Henson could help shoulder the erratic play of Cousins meanwhile being a force on the inside.
Rockets have known to be very risky playmakers. They’ve been needing a Center since Yao retired and Drummond may be the best shot they get. Lowry wants to leave because he doesn’t along with Coach McHale so Rockets take advantage and could possibly get the Center that could, with the right development be the face of their franchise. Coach McHale is certainly the man for the job, with him being one of the successful bigmen back in his day. Rockets have said to really like Marquis Teague and I’ve heard that they are in talks with Boston to get the 22nd pick intending to select him. Not quite sure who else in involved the trade, but the Rockets could be big trade partners in this draft.

rickybobbyParticipantAs a Rockets fan i like the thought of moves so hopefully we can turn towards the future. Hopefully he dont have to give up both picks and Lowry for it though. With people saying Morey could be on the hot seat this could be a make or break deal for him. Obiviously Drummond is the target andhe’s a risk, but Houston been lacking star power for a while and Drummond has the potential of star.
But why do the Kings want Lowry? They got a good young guard in Isaih Thomas, sure he isnt ur typical pg but he’s very good. I wish somehow they could include Evans in the deal with houston given up a little more assets. Or a three team trade.

Captain LParticipantHow much could Paul Milsap bring in a trade?
I would like to see Sac. trade Jimmer and the #5 to the Jazz for Milsap and maybe next yrs first round pick. Milsap is a proven quality player, near all star level, a hard worker, winner and very versitile. The Jazz need a quality 3 (Hayward is best at the 2) and MKG or Barnes very well could still be there at 5. Jimmer didn’t have the year alot of people thought he could or would have and the people of Utah and the Jazz fans would love to have him and his outside shooting come to town. Although a # 5 pick may be considered too high straight accross for Milsap, whoever it is is unproven and Paul is a proven , quality , near all star level player. Thoughts?

sheltwon3ParticipantI like the Tyreke to the Bucks trade and I like teh Lowry and 2 picks for the number 5. I hope Houston can get
Drummonds because that would be a good fit for him. I think MKG falls though because not being able to shoot hurts your draft position. People keep talking around it but Kawhi Leonard went number15 in weaker draft and he can actually shoot. I feel like Leonard is the better player because they are close is some ways but Leonard can shoot. I get tired about that whole he is a winner thing and has a good motor. In the NBA if you don’t play hard you are either on a bad team that always loses or you are on the bench. You have analyst forgeting that most NBA players play hard. If MKG or anybody who are so called winners goes to the Bobcats, they will still lose. I think MKG fits with GSW and Mark Jackson style of play.0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/24/2012 - 9:05pm #687229

sheltwon3ParticipantWhy would Sac give up 2 lottery picks in a power foward heavy draft to take on Milsap and his contract. I know Jimmer had a terrible first year but he was still a top 7 pick.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 06/24/2012 - 9:11pm #687232

sheltwon3ParticipantI meant top 10 pick, I have no idea why I thought he went 7th.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantWhy on earth would Milwaukee wanna pair Reke with Monta. I don’t like that at all.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantThe Houston Sacramento trade is a good one the Bucks Kings trade is ridiculous and a smokescreen for Sacramento

Stinky34ParticipantA Evans and Ellis backcourt would be far more effective than Ellis and Jennings… evans has avetaged 20, 5 and 5 before being injured last year… He can play the point or SG and the Bucks could use his size… And on top of it they can then get a top 5 plauer in the draft… Hopfully Drummond… Seems like a hood deal for the Bucks…

Lodzio20ParticipantLowry to Raptors for #8 pick
#14+#16 to Sac for #5
Then #5 and #8 and maybe something to Magic for Howard and Rockets would have enough money to sign Deron Williams in Free Agency.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/25/2012 - 6:48am #687337

omphalosParticipantYeah Monta and Reke seem like a perfect match in the back-court; Tyreke can work his versatility (scoring, passing, rebounding) and Monta can channel Wade. Reke’s size allows him to effectively guard 1-3, and Monta’s quickness allows him to guard 1s.
I’d actually love to see that trade go down with the Bucks, best landing place for Tyreke of the options mentioned.
Drummond in Houston would also be nice to see, Drummond and Motiejunas complement each other perfectly; Drummond the inside force and Motie the finesse scorer.
