The 2013 NBA draft.

McAdoo really intrigues me. Showed glimpses of potential dominance last season.

Players I am looking to see play and improve from last year (none are big names or guaranteed lotto picks)

Kybongo – i was quite high on him outta hs and he was a bit disappointing last season

 shabazz and cody zeller would be great players in the college level

What about LeBryan Nash?

Lebryan nash is a good player dont know if he is nba ready yet i want to see him be a star  next year

I think McAdoo’s the obvious prospect here. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a Robinson type impact next season and is a potential number 1 pick in the next draft.

yup looking forward to to seeing Lebryan nash grow as a player because he has the tools to make a big impact.  out of the incoming freshmen, I am looking forward to seeing how Shabazz plays with the spot light on him and also looking forward to seeing UNC’s jp tokoto because i think he is going to be a sleeper.   

Kabongo has a shot to be a top 10 pick in what looks to be another weak point guard class

 so thoose people who gave me negative points dont think shabazz muhammad and cody zeller would have a good college career?lmfao  

Deshaun Thomas will be more in the spotlight at Ohio State next year. He had gread production last season and a stellar tournament. But he was almost always overshadowed by Sullinger’s performance, or lack thereof.

But now with Sully gone, Thomas will be the #1 option and garner the attemtion of defenders and media alike. He might not be 1st team All American, but he’ll definetely score and rebound, and certainly be drafted higher than #44 next year, which is where he is projected right now.

 Kyle Wiltjer isn’t an NBA guy in my mind, not without massive improvement to his physique, but I think he will have a big breakout year for Kentucky just with the shooting he brings.  If he gets big minutes, he will score just by hitting catch and shoot threes.  

Michael Carter-Willimas of Syracuse didn’t get a chance to show much last year as a freshman, but with Scoop Jardine and Dion Waiters gone, he could have a big time break out season.  I think he has a lot of potential scoring the basketball.

Chane Behanan had a very good freshman year, but I expect even more from him as a sophmore.  He was an outstanding rebounder, but I expect him to take a bigger scoring role next year. 

I guess none of those guys is necessarily going to enter the 2013 draft even with a breakout year, but they are all breakout candidates.  Behanan and Carter-Williams could definitely establish themselves as 2013 prospects.

One guy who could breakout in a way that moves him up to the lottery is Jeff Withey.  If he improves on his offensive game while remaining the top shot blocker in college basketball, he could easily be a top ten pick.  I must say, I doubt he falls all the way to 30, where he is currently listed on this site’s mock.

Michael Carter-Williams from Cuse will have a breakout year. 6-5 PG with a terrific shot, good quickness and athleticism. Reminds me of Thomas Robinson in that he benefited from playing sparingly on a very talented team where he learned to win and is now ready for that experience to translate to major production. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he becomes the top PG.

Reggie Bullock will play his way into the lottery next season. He proved early in the year he can defend as he was the teams defensive stopper when Strickland went down. He was already known for his abilty to soot the trey, and toward the end of the year he started to crash the boards better and went to the hoop agrressively. Next year as the Tarheels top perimeter option he will get a chance to showcase his all aroung game and I believe scouts will be drooling over his combination of size, shooting abilty, and defense as well as an improved ability to get to the hoop and to the foul line. I think he will go somewhere between 6 and 12 next year.

Mcadoo= James worthy, this guy played great in limited minutes, I thought Rodney hood would dominate for miss state next year due to moultrie and Sidney leaving but he transfered, lebryan Nash has an nba ready body all he needs to do is work on his efficiency and jumpshot his usage rate at 37% was too high for okl. State

Chane Behanan will have a very good year for Louisville, and I could see him shooting up on people’s mocks by tournament time.

If he would’ve stayed at Baylor, I think Quincy Miller could’ve had an All-American season

McAdoo is certainly the most intriguing. He is either going to have and Ed Davis type of season (solid but not up to expectations) or a T-Rob one (dominates). Leslie could also fall into that category.

I see Wiltjer being a nice starter this year and breaking out as a Junior. Poythress and Noel are likely Top 10 picks and Goodwin/Harrow are big time scorers so I think Kyle will spend most of his time being a facilitator this season. Once Poythress and Noel leave (possibly Goodwin/Harrow as well) I think he’ll have a major impact. he’ll be a guy Coach Cal trusts and put into a huge role even though they’ll have more great recruits coming in.
