I usually dont post trade ideas, but i thought of this one…

    Bobcats give the 2nd pick, and the 31st pick for The Blazer’s 6th, 11th, 40th and 41st

I think this works because then the Blazers would probably take Kidd-Chilchrist, Beal, T-Rob or Barnes at #2…the Bobcats would then have the chance to take one of those 3 if they fall, or just take Drummond…and then they would be able to take a chance on somebody at 11 like Perry Jones, Lillard (if he falls), Waters (if he falls), Rivers, Lamb, Leonard (probably not if they take Drummond), or Ross…

then the Blazers also get a decent pick at 31 with such a deep draft they could grab somebody who drops out of the first round bubble…

and lets face it, the Bobcats just need bodies, and cheap contracts…so at 40 and 41 they can add some sleepers and nice prospects to fill their terrible roster.

    thoughts?

    Bobcats will want more.

I don’t get why people are giving out Bobcats/Blazers trade ideas. Blazers biggest needs are PG and C and they can get the top one at those positions at 6. I don’t see the reasoning in the Trail Blazers trading up, I’m just not seeing it.

you gotta point…didnt realize there were other blazers trades mentioned…just figured they had the best roster with a lottery pick and might want to make a push…i dont always focus on needs when it comes to drafting…i think you take the BPA

focusing on the BPA is very dangerous cause the BPA wouldn’t progress if he didn’t have enough playing time…

you have to watch closely your needs and fill them with the most attractive prospects at that spot.

Portland doesn’t really need Thomas Robinson (They have an all star starting at power forward), Barnes or Kidd-Gilchrist (They’re high on Batum).

They’re probably satisfied with picking Drummond or Lillard with the 6th pick, unless they’re really high on Beal.

A better trade for Charlotte would be with Cleveland. Now that Washington has Ariza and Okafor, they probably want to solidify their backcourt and pick Beal 3rd. If Cleveland wants Beal, they’re gonna have to trade up. Charlotte could make use of this opportunity and trade their 2nd pick to Cleveland for the 4th pick and 24th pick in the first round.

Blazers have Batum and Matthews, they don’t need MKG!

I think that the Bobcats will keep the pick. Cho wants to build the ‘cats based on OKC, so maybe next year they’ll find their franchise player in Muhammad, Noel or Zeller. But they’ll keep the pick to start rebuilding

     @ZeeProfessor

I ‘d rather trade my 2 against 4 and 33 AND 34… There is too few difference between picking at 24 and picking at 33.

Charlotte has already the 31th pick. So it will add 2 other 2nd round picks : giving you an oppotunity to bring several solid role players (green, lamb, jenkins, taylor, miller, sims, machado, english…) to build a solid bench, or (if you don’t want to have too many rookies) draft and stash (aldemir, satoransky, fournier, shengelia).

What about portland’s 11th and batum for the warriors 7th? Warriors get a good SF and the blazers can pick their pointguard and center of the future

it’s good for Warriors but Batum is worth much more than going up only 4 spots in this draft.

i guss GS could throw in Dorell Wright, #30 and it’s a done deal!

They would probably want 6, 11, and Wesley Matthews for the number 2

if the cavs are stuck on beal as their guy theyd have too trade up too 2 and take him and the bobcats can still pick either barnes robinso or mkg at 4 and b picking up extra picks providing more depth which they despereatley need
