Defensive Guard

Bradley can score and at the same time he’s a great on the ball defender. Iman shumpert is a good perimeter defender too, but I don’t think he brings as much as a scoring punch as Bradley can. Basically meaning Bradley plays better on both sides of the court.

Avery Bradley, his on the ball defending is just ridiculous and his jump shot has really improved.

If we only care about defense, Shumpert hands down. Bradley is awesome… don’t get it twisted, but Shumpert is just as fast and long but a heck of a lot bigger. Bradley can’t handle too many SF’s, but Shumpert could handle all of em. Shumpert shut down nearly every star out there in his rookie season, but he came into his own once he stopped being so trigger happy on O.

Lets not forget that Bradley has been in the league a bit longer and he couldn’t get off the bench untill Allen got hurt. Give Shumpert some time to learn the NBA game and how to work within a system. Shumpert’s shot and shot selection should improve as his career moves along.

Bradley, Shumpert and Bledsoe were the 3 best on ball defenders I saw this past season. Relentless players.

 I’m a big Avery Bradley fan. My only issue with him if I had to find one is that you sort of wish he was just a little bit longer/taller. But obviously it hasn’t stopped him from becoming a premier perimeter defender (you could argue THE premier perimeter defender) in the NBA. 

I really like what I saw from Iman Shumpert this year as well. Can’t wait to see him continute to develop when he returns from his knee injury.

I would slightly disagree that Bradley brings more offence. I would say it is pretty close. Both are good FT shooters, both are very athletic and use that athleticism to drive the lane and get to the net. Bradley is a better shooter, but I would say Shumpert is a better passer/playmaker. I feel it is close overall.

I like both players a lot, and it is a tough call. Both are 21 and will be premier defenders for a long time.
