Wahoo757ParticipantTo nobody’s surprise he’s guilty, but what’s really shocking is that he was found guilty on 45 charges of child sex abuse. Words can’t describe how disgusted I am of a man that moleated 45 chidlren.

Wahoo757ParticipantActually I think I may have misspoken. I’m not the best at law. Does 45 charges of sex abuse mean he abused 45 children or 45 instances in which he abused children? Still horrible either way, but I don’t know what they mean by “charge.”

phila9012ParticipantI will post this again, sorry but people need to be aware of this, not that every coach abuses kids, but be aware of any suspicious behavior and trust your kids and also make your kids aware of it so if they see any questionable behavior they will be aware of what is going on and tell you so you can get help. Report everything you see even if it doesnt deal with your kid. Also just because a coach is respected or looked up to by a many people doesnt mean you shouldnt report it. It is also too soon to joke about this, nobody deserves to be molested.
this is getting really bad. I have never been affected by this either. Gymnastics and swim coaches were under investigation a couple of years. That NHL player had his interview about being abused on a junior hockey team. Bernie fine is still being looked at. Jerry Sandusky went on trial eventually for abusing children. Things have to change. Be more aware of what and when your kids are with coaches. If you have any suspicion someone abusing children report them. If you have been abused do not be afraid to tell authorities, they will help you. This is nasty and nobody deserves this. I normally dont write things on here that attack social issues, but this keeps coming up in the sports world. It is our job to protect the kids, they cant defend themselves.
my overall message is just be aware of what is going on and make sure you report it to authorities child abuse is terrible, be aware

GrandmamaParticipantI hope they don’t isolate him in jail, if he’s amongst the general population he’ll end up getting shanked to death by a filed down toothbrush….and that will be exactly what he deserves

TRC1991Participant@ZachB
45 counts means on 45 separate occasions he was found guilty of committing crimes from indecent assault to immoral contact with minors and even more… this does not mean 45 kids were molested… the exact # of victims is 10 (that came forward) over a course of 15 years

Wahoo757ParticipantOkay that’s what I was thinking, hence my second post, thanks for clarifying.

From my experiences, being part of the in crowd does not include being raped by an old guy..

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantTaylorCondrin beat me to it.
They simply tag all these charges on you so they hope at least one of them sticks. Same thing with R. Kelly, he was charged with 99 separate accusations. None of them stuck.
They go into so much detail in each charge though, they probably tried to tag 4 or 5 different charges on each child he molested for different actions and things he said.

JNixonParticipantLazarus Munoz, thats not even a funny thing to joke about. Lets not make jokes out of EVERYTHING, you just make yourself look stupid.
Its disgusting that he would do that to those kids. Pedophiles are the worst kinds of people IMO. Its not only disgusting and crazy, but its selfish as hell. You scar people for long periods of time when you do it. And that’s why I cant respect him. I looked at Paterno differently too for not doing enough about it too. He had kids himself.

druneave3ParticipantRead the page by page descriptions in the 10 grand jury investigations. I would suspend you for saying something that horrendous if I ran this site. Also, people talking about treatment he will receive in prison. It won’t be rape, he will be murdered with a quickness. Even evil criminals understand the severity of child rape and the gruesome effects it can have on an individual throughout the course of his/her life. My heart goes out to victims everywhere. I suggest everyone read the grand jury investigations, then think about EVERYONE in the state of Pennsylvania who knew this was going on and kept quiet in order to keep getting money, and not disrupt the cash cow(s) that were Penn St football and Second Mile. Lawyers aren’t releasing will of Paterno to see just how many millions he made off Sanduskys feeder program Second Mile.

TRC1991ParticipantI agree druneave, Paterno knew the second mile was putting paychecks in his pocket and the old Italian scumbag sold his soul

rwd5035ParticipantI am a Penn State alumnus and have been disgusted by this whole scandal. Everything about it stinks from Sandusky himself, the incident in the Lasch Building, and our administrators handling of said Lasch Building incident. I have a ton of questions that need to be answered, but I won’t get those until Curley and Schultz go on trial. I hope the victims/survivors can hopefully move on from this whole ordeal, and lead as normal of a life as possible. What Jerry did was irreversible, but they can at least know he’s paying for the crimes he did to them.
Let him rot.
