Like many mock drafts, I too have Meyers Leonard going to the Pistons. He has great tools for a legit center, and Detroit lacks that degree of size.

But if they do pick Leonard, that would mean Monroe would have to play the 4 at times. Even though Monroe is skilled, I’m not sure if he has the mobility and agility to be a contemporary PF. I’m sure the coaching staff will find a way to emphasis his strengths, but what are you’re guys thoughts if Leonard and Monroe were to share the paint?

i have Pistons going in the draft with a long two guard – Lamb or Ross to give them prototype player at that position to play along side Knight and Stucky for stretches…

a lot think they will take Leonard but i think J Dummars will be afraid to do so after the Darko incident!!!

I think Monroe is more of a 4 than a 5. He can play 5 but his defensive deficencies are going to hinder the team less with a bigger stronger shot blocker at center. Leonard would be a good fit playing with Monroe in my opinion.

The difference between playing the four and the five is generally only a matter of who you’re guarding. He’ll be fine at 4 or 5.

Monroe’s a C. I dont think his foot speed plays well at the PF position.

Monroe is very quick and athletic for a center he’s more of a 4 than a 5, I don’t know if Meyers Leonard is the pistons answer because he is not ready to step in right away and start

Idk what some of you guys have been watching but Monroe is plenty mobile and agile for the 4 position.
