cuseflynn10ParticipantDion Waiters has one of, if not the best spin move in college basketball as you can see from the highlight reel. His ball handling and ability to finish at the rim should translate well to the NBA. He has good size at 6’4, 215 lbs. He played great at the top of the 2-3 zone, averaging almost two steals a game. We’ll have to wait and see if his defense translates, but he’ll be an average defender at worst I think, but has potential to be great on the defensive end. He did shoot 48% from the field and can knock down shots, but his three point game is not elite yet, as he only hit 36%.
If Waiters develops a more consistent shot from outside, whether it’s mid-range or three, I think he could become a top 5 player from this draft. Best case scenario he’s an all star caliber player and worst case I think he’ll be a sixth man off the bench providing a spark for the offense.
