I think they should just draft the best player…I hear that they like the kid John Shurna…But out of those guys I like Scott Madchado he is a good passer and they do need a pass first PG…

Jared Cunningham not the purest PG but really there aren’t much. Cunningham’s defense, athleticism and improved shooting are things that will only improve at the next level. He’s also patient and sees the floor pretty good.

I like Machado but I’m skeptical on his ceiling. Cunningham’s ceiling is roofless

”It’s important to get out there and learn these things,” Nash said. ”Every day, a lesson is important. … It’s not a great performance by any stretch, but sometimes you learn more from the struggle. I think we’ll come in tomorrow with more resolve to improve. We know we’ve got a lot of room to get better.”

The Lakers say they’ve got plenty of time to build team chemistry around Howard, who appears comfortable in his new team’s new offense during practice. Los Angeles finishes its preseason slate with four games in seven days starting Friday night in Las Vegas.

While Evans waits for his next contract, he continues his work with the union and NBPA Executive Director Billy Hunter. Evans is implementing new programs that will prepare players for life after basketball. Many players retire and are unable to adjust to their new lives. They’ve been away from their families for so long that they struggle in their role as husband and father. They’ve never had any business training so they make poor financial decisions. The NBPA is putting programs in place to help players get their lives together away from the court, starting while they’re in the league and continuing once they retire.

Not every divorce needs to be someone’s fault. Splits can be amicable and mutually beneficial, and assigning blame isn’t a mandatory part of every dissolution.

That should be the lesson that we take from the split between the Celtics and guard Ray Allen, who helped push Boston to the 2008 title before signing with the archrival Heat as a free agent this summer. Unfortunately, that’s not the lesson anyone is pushing.
