FUNKYBUNCHParticipantApparently Gerald Wallace is going to decline the opt-in clause of his contract and test the market and get another multi-million dollar contract. The Nets may still be suitors, however it seems other suitors the way I see it can be TOR, SAC, or CLE. These are the teams under the cap right now that seem to need a SF. Does anyone else see that possibility? How could this effect the draft, if one of these teams is secretly shopping him? Where’s the best fit for Wallace? Any thoughts?

Tight ButtholeParticipantI know Cleveland is trying to build through the draft, but Wallace isnt a max player and they have a lot of money to throw around. Why not offer a contract to a proven player to fill a need and draft Beal or Drummond at 4 to fill another need? Im sure Cleveland doesnt stand a chance to sign him anyway, but I would love to see Wallace in a Cavs uniform.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantGreat move by Wallace. He can secure a long term deal as he’s already going to hit his 30s.

PlatypusParticipantIf i were him and the nets i would try to do a sign and trade to a contender

Chilbert arenasParticipantNo contender could afford to do a significant sign and trade for Wallace at a high price. I would be disappointed if he’s looking for a long term deal with a bad team like the Raptors Kings or Cavs, take a pay cut to go win somewhere. Would the Mavs give him a look?

bobbybParticipantWhat a shocker!!! the Nets GM should be fired today! Everyone knew on this site that this was a stupid deal for the NETS

aamir543ParticipantHe’s gonna get the MLE, more if he goes to a team with cap room, but the Nets basically traded the 6th pick for 1 month of Gerald Wallace. Way to go Billy King.

r377ParticipantWith his heart and motor he would be a great fit in Memphis if they could somehow move Rudy Gay….

ghettosermonParticipantI still think he stays with the Nets especially if Deron signs elsewhere as the Nets will offer him more money than anyone else.

r377ParticipantGolden State are looking for a SF. Not sure how that would work financially though…………

PulseGlazerParticipantBilly King is the worst GM in the NBA and has been for a long, long time.

frogmanParticipantThis really was one of the worst trades in history.
