Could we see the Bobcats trade down in this draft? I think it makes sense. They can use any of Drummond, Beal, Barnes, Robinson, and MKG so why not trade down a few spots and try and land a pick between 5-10 and an additional trade piece.
Maybe the Kings would give up a guard and their #5 pick for the #2 pick in order to grab Barnes or MKG.
Maybe the Trailblazers trade their 6th pick and another piece for the #2 pick in order to get Drummond.
Golden St. and Toronto both want a SF, so they could give up a player plus their first round pick to move up and grab either Barnes or MKG.
The possibilities are endless, but I definitely think Charlotte should trade down. This draft is deep, and there are a lot of valuable players, so is there any reason not to trade out of the #2 spot?

delfamParticipantthere is no reasy why they shouldn’t trade the pick and try to get additional assets cause all those players are in the same group, but it’s a catch twenty two.
Because picks 2-10 are all pretty similar why would any of those other teams give an additional asset that they didn’t have to give up to get to the 2nd pick when most likely they get an equally good player at their original spot?

HitsterParticipantPortland is a good option but they may have an offe to get into the top 5 from Cleveland and why give up two lottery picks. Also any team in the top 5 knows that the 2nd bunch behind Davis is fairly eqal so why give up too much to move up.
Personally I think that Charlotte are putting feelers out knowing tht D12 might be in play from Orlando and perhaps positioning themselves to be the 3rd team in any trade or just seeing what they might get in return from other teams.

PaulsJayhawksParticipantI think the raps would want to jump up.
2 for Ed Davis and 8. Charlotte gets another young big to add depth and he is a Tar Heel. They can then take Lamb at 8. Raps can then take Barnes at 2.
Is it enough for the Raps to get it done
Thoughts?

johnallinghamParticipantI wish it were but I don’t think so.
