Where do some of these players fit…Are they going to be resigned by their current teams or do they find new homes next year…

So far my RFA watch list is

Eric Gordon – He’s probally the biggest restricted Free Agent not named Deron Williams, the Hornets will probally not be able to resign him, he’s already turned down their extension offer and with the 10th pick the Hornets could find a cheaper replacement anyway, he’s a guy I see playing in Indiana or Detroit(via Sign and Trade) He’d also be a good fit in Philadelphia

(I wonder if the Hornets would take a Holiday and Young for Gordon and Aminu deal??? The Hornets get their Franshise Pg and a Starting Sf, The Sixers would get a scoring Sg and backup Sf/Pf, The 76ers can start Turner at Pg or use him off the bench as 6th man)

Nicolas Batum – He’s probally one of the most coveted free agents out there and he’ll be resigned if the Blazers know what they’re doing, Batum will have a larger contract and role in Portland, but if he’s truely got his heart set on playing with Tony Parker he’ll take the 1 year Q.O and wait to do so next season, Duncan and Manu will likely retire after next season and the Spurs could retool with Nick Batum, Roddy Beubois and Kevin Seraphin…

Micheal Beasley – Beasley has a ton of offensive potential, he’s just not going to have the chance to reach his potential behind Love and Williams, he’ll find a few teams willing to take him, but for some reason I see Beasley being moved in a Sign and Trade, the Wolves won’t lose him for nothing, they can get another combo forward back…Examples, Marvin Williams or Thad Young

Anthony Randolph – The Wolves won’t try to keep both Beasley and Randolph, I think AR has enough size and skill to lure a team into signing him, he seems like a decent fit in Detroit, Denver and Cleveland(if they trade Jamison or Varejeo)

Javale Mcgee – The Nuggets likely match any offer Mcgee gets , but if someone overpays for him I could see them let him go, they have Mosgov and Faried plus they could draft Fab Melo in the 1st round

Louis Williams – The Sixers could draft a scorer at 15(Waiters, Rivers, Ross) and allow Lou to walk away, he’s due 6 million dollar plus if he’s brought back for a final season

OJ Mayo – The Grizzlies have likely seen the last of Mayo, he’s almost been traded several times and he seems like a bad fit at this point, he could have better success in Cleveland or Boston next year as a starting SG next to Irving or Rondo

Wishful thinking, but I think Eric Gordon would be a good fit on the Cavaliers. They have the most money to sign him, he knows the backcourt is set and comfortable for the next 4-5 years with Kyrie, then the Cavs could use the #4 pick to address a different positional need (like Drummond or Barnes for example).

Detroit looks like a pretty good fit as well and makes sense.

From everything I’ve read, Gordon to Indiana isn’t going to happen.

@Cavsfan07. Signed Gordon and drafting Barnes? Couldn’t ask for a better offseason for the Cavs. Doubt it happens, but would be awesome.

I think Gordon will be matched by NO, Batum is rumored to be matched whatever offers from POR and McGee with DEN and Lou Williams with PHI. The others I believe on your watch list are up for grabs. Mayo being the biggest one on the bubble, but I think he goes. Beasley I know had interest from LAL, but I don’t know how they can afford him unless they amnesty Metta or trade Blake in a package or something. MIN seems to not want Beasley though so they will probably keep Randolph.

I think the Celtics might try to tame Beasley/Mcgee. They have money for either, but I’m not sure both

I got the sense Doc did not like Mayo and thats why the trade fell through. I don’t see Mayo in Boston.

Javale would look great an alley oops from Rondo and Hawes could be deadly as a mid range shooter next to Bass…

If I were the Celtics I’d try to sign Spencer Hawes and Anthony Randolph, and hope to bring back KG with The MLE, then the Celtics can look at the best wing players in The Draft with the 21st and 22nd picks…

Beasley would be a decent Sf/Pf in Philadelphia, I think Doug Collins could get him on the right track, Beasley could replace Brand as Pf next season and provide a very good scoring option no matter he plays…I’d like to trade Thad Young for Micheal Beasley straight up in a Sign and Trade, Thad could play Beasley’s role in Sota and Beasley could be that instant offense type off the bench(until he eventually starts at Sf or Pf post Iggy or Brand)

that’s why he’ll advise the Celtics to trade up and get Austin in the draft…He’s got the 21st and 22nd picks to dangle, not to mention Etwaun Moore and Jajuan Johnson(who come as a package deal) all he’s got to do is move up to the 10th spot to assure the Celtics get him…The Hornets would more than likely move that pick if they can get Eric Gordon to commit, they’d have the 21st pick to draft Terrence Jones and the 22nd pick for Marquis Teague …The Celtics get Austin Rivers and can sign Anthony Randolph and Spencer Hawes…

The Hornets would be tempted by an offer of the 21st and 22nd picks in the draft plus Moore/Johnson or Bass for The 10th overall pick, especially if they have signs they can get Eric Gordon commited longterm by that time…

Hibbert is an automatic re-sign for Indiana, and thats why he isn’t mentioned?

He’s about as automatic as you get. I do wonder about George Hill on IND though…

Other guys I wonder about: Greg Stiemsma, DJ Augustine, Rudy Fernandez, Brandon Rush, Courtney Lee, Darrell Arthur, Marreese Speights, Landry Fields, Robin Lopez, JJ Hickson, Jason Thompson, Danny Green, Patty Mills, Lavoy Allen, and Jerryd Bayless… any other RFA worth mentioning that hasn’t been brought up yet will probably just resign.

The UFA market looks pretty solid too though. There’s over 50 UFAs that are pretty relevant.

You wouldn’t trade Holiday for Gordon? Due to the bad fit? The injuries of Gordon? If it’s because of those I can see your point. But Gordon in my mind is still a far superior player to Holiday.

holiday is getting better every year. Hes already all defense level. ANd hes already imo the most valuable piece to the sixers team surpassing iggy. I take holiday over gordon straight up based on the fact that i think they are pretty close to equal right now with maybe a slight edge to gordon but with holiday having more potential. In leading the sixers to the second round of the playoffs where they battled the celtics hard, holiday averaged 16ppg…5rpg…5apg…1.5stls and 2.0to’s. The next highest scorer for the sixers in th eplayoffs was over 3 points less per game then holiday. He just does so many more things then gordon on the court.

I wouldn’t dare trade Doug Collin’s favorite player Thaddeus Young unless you are getting a superstar in return for a package. Eric Gordon is better than Holiday and a baller, but not superstar status and Holiday is a better fit. He might be the best passer PHI has. Iggy is on the block. How bout resign Hawes first then see if Brand will sign for a better price to start. If not, trade Iggy for one of UTA’s bigs. PHI has a good core to work with already. Wouldn’t want to break up a team too much that just pushed BOS to 7 games and is seemingly improving every year.
