I know it’s probably just Kyrie messin’ around but on his Facebook page he has a link to MKG’s new page saying "Cavaliers’ new player". This seems like Kyrie’s wishful thinking since they played high school ball together at St. Patricks. But if I’m the Cav’s I feel like I’m in a really good position. I know they’re really high on Harrison Barnes but even if Charlotte takes him they’re still gonna end up with MKG or Drummond. Not a bad situation to be in. Plus since this draft is so deep theyre gonna get a quality player at 24 and even two good role players with those early second round picks. It would be fun to see Kyrie play with MKG again though. Anyway, just something interesting to share.

Cavs front office has a huge "man crush" on Barnes and I agree this is likely KI just hoping.  Even though he played HS ball with MKG , KI is also real tight with Barnes as well.  Only way MKG is a Cav is if someone takes Barnes before the Cavs or is KI trying to influence personnel decisions by being the new face of the franchise?

I have Barnes going to the Cavs at 4 , then they take Nicholson at 24 , and round out their draft with Middleton and Draymond at 33 and 34.

WolfRob there is a link on the main page of this site talking about how bad the Cavs want Barnes , not to mention they were considering taking him last year as well if he had come out.  I am not convinced yet who will be the better player between MKG and Barnes though I do feel the Cavs need shooting and scoring making Barnes a better fit at 4.  While I have MKG failing to GSW at 7 because he would be the perfect complement to Curry , Thompson , and Rush on the perimeter as the slashing defensive minded wing player they need on the GSW roster.

I don’t see how he could possibly fall past 5. He’ll likely go #2. But if he doesn’t, everyone through the Kings needs a SF. Having him at 7 is really a stretch.

Maybe even more interestingly. Within 5 min, Kyrie has taken the post down. hmmmm

Why would the Cavs openly declare which player they love?

I don’t know it just seems like smoke and mirrors so the Bobcats or the Wizards will select Barnes so MKG, Beal, or Drummond falls to them.
