    The Jazz need to give New Orleans back the Jazz" name so they give Charlotte back the "Hornets" name.  Let Utah come up with a new name , hell what would even be a good name for Utah?

    Toronto Huskies sounds like a good appropriate name. I hope the NBA is leaning towards a repeat of Seattle where if they move a team then they let the city hold onto the name and the history.

    Not sure about the Utah Raptors. I think they should get a brand new name like the Thunder did.

    If I was in the business of assigning names I’d do it like this;

    Utah Raptors

    Toronto Huskies

    New Orleans Jazz

    Charlotte Hornets

    Each name makes sense from a geographical and historical standpoint and they all sound pretty awesome too.

    Well, the Toronto Huskies was the name of the Toronto team in the forerunner for the NBA, the Basketball Association of America.

    As far as Utah, I think Raptors is appropriate because the Utahraptor is famous from the Jurassic Park films and is obviously from Utah. Also, I couldn’t think of any other name to suit Utah based on what I know of the place that would be appropriate for a franchise nickname.

    What about the Utah Avalanche? With all the snow and mountains the state has that wouldn’t be too bad. Then again can you have the same name as a NHL team?

    Or what about the Utah Flames or Utah Blaze. I heard there seem to be a lot of forest fires in the Southern Utah.
