cuseflynn10ParticipantWhat does your first seven picks of the draft look like? Davis is the consensus #1, and after that Barnes, Beal, Drummond, Kidd-Gilchrist, and Robinson are the next best 5, but the order in which they will be picked is still unclear.
Here’s my prediction as of 6/7/12:
1) New Orleans: Anthony Davis
Who else would they pick?
2) Charlotte Bobcats: Harrison Barnes
SF is their biggest need, so Barnes or MKG are logical choices. Barnes is the local product, but MKG is the national champ. Robinson could be considered here as the safe pick, and Drummond is also possible as the high risk / high reward player. I doubt Beal will go #2 overall. I’m guessing Barnes for now, but I can be easily influenced to change my mind at this one.
3) Washingotn Wizards: Thomas Robinson
Washington is rumored to have high interest in both MKG and Beal, but I’m sure they would also love to have Robinson, who very well could go #2.
4) Cleveland Cavaliers: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
It’s between MKG, Beal, and Drummond. All of them would get playing time right away in Cleveland. All Cleveland has for the future is Kyrie and Thompson. I think Kyrie would approve of bringing his old St. Patrick teammate on board.
5) Sacramento Kings: Brad Beal
It’s either going to be Beal or Drummond. Both players make sense for Sacramento. I’m going with Beal here. On paper, the Kings should have guard depth with Evans, Thornton, Thomas, Freddette, and now Beal. Guard play was inconsistent in Sac-Town, so Beal could help.
6) Portland Trailblazers: Andre Drummond
Drummond has the potential to be the best player in this draft and I personally feel he will turn into an all star caliber player, but others believe he will bust. Portland would gladly fill their need at center with Drummond.
7) Golden St. Warriors: Perry Jones
Golden St. will definitely be looking to add forwards in this draft. Perry Jones has high risk / high reward potential, but he will have time to adjust his game to the NBA in the Warriors’ system. I don’t see any one else that could go #7. Maybe Lamb even though they already have Curry and Thompson?
Let’s keep in mind that the whole draft relies on who Charlotte takes. I’ve seen mock drafts projecting 4 different players at #2.
So with that, tell me what you think of my top seven picks, and also share your top seven if you would like to.

truwizfan4ParticipantAre you kidding me? Beal is going to wizards we loaded with big man why would we draft Thomas Robinson? Noway wizards would pass on Brad Beal when he fill a need and he a good player

ChewyParticipantNO- Davis. No explination needed.
Charlotte- Drummond. I mean it really can’t get worse for this team. Take a chance on a player who has the potential to be a superstar. Plus, he could join up w/ Biyombo to form a sickly athletic frontcourt.
Washington- Beal. This one was tough. I feel like Vesely is more a 4 than a 3 in the NBA. Which is why MGK would also make sense here and why I don’t think T-Rob makes sense. However, I think Beal’s shooting is a great compliment to Wall’s dribble drive.
Cleveland- Barnes. Reports were saying Cleveland loved him last year and still love him this year. You have a great piece to build around in Irving. Thompson is showing potential in the post. Barnes is a very safe pick who would fit in with these two building blocks and contribute right away.
Sacramento- Thomas Robinson. Athletic hustle rebounder power forward who you can pair with your finess skilled center.
Portland- Kendall Marshall. They are weak at PG. Felton is a FA. This team is run through Aldridge in the post which is why I like Marshall’s passing ability over Lillard’s athletisism (although I could understand them taking Lillard here)
Golden State- Jeremy Lamb. They moved Ellis so they can take a chance on the talented Lamb. If he flops they still have Klay Thompson to take the minutes.

JoeWolf1^I agree with you RUDEBOY, I’d make for a nice story, but the more I think about it, the less it makes sense for Washington.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThis might be the 1st draft..where there’s no Consensus Top 3 Or Top 5..A player chosen at 13 might be better than a guy that goes number 2…

jhbm24ParticipantI really like the idea of jones on the warriors. It’s a potential pik and allows them to get bigger. Maybe it’s because I’m a pj3 believe but that adds the size the warriors wanted. A line up of
1. Curry/ Jenkins/or Jkid maybe???
2.klay thompson/ if wroten falls to 30 would be a great pick for James harden 6th man
3. Pj3/ Brandon rush
4. D. Lee/ Dominic McGuire
5. Bogut/Jeremy Tyler

sheltwon3ParticipantEveryone keeps saying PJ3 is not a 3 man but if he goes to the Warriors, he has a little bit of flexibility because David Lee can do a lot of stuff small forward do. All Jones would need to do is use his length and make a few jumpers and guard his position to some degree.
