DolanCareParticipantDrew Gordon was a blue chip recruit once upon a time. He is athletic and a solid rebounder. If he focuses and develops a good work ethic, I could see him becoming a Paul Millsap type.
He definitely has his shortcomings, but in the mid-second round wouldn’t he be a steal? Thoughts?

providencefriars1ParticipantI think hes a definite role player, more of a third big who can bring energy and hustle to spark the second unit. Players who hang their hat on rebounding usually find some sort of role

Chilbert arenasParticipantI think a team would be more than happy to find a role player in the second round and I think in the right situation he can be successful. I like his energy but I want to see some more mean streak out of him if he wants to make it. He’s also gotta work on that midrange game.

butidonthavemoneyGordon has more potential than your average senior, but doesn’t profile in any way as a future starter. He definitely doesn’t have the shooting or passing skills of Millsap (not even close, to be honest). His defense and rebounding will get him some looks in the early second round though. Could be a serviceable player on the right team.

JoeWolf1I think his ceiling is a Kenny Thomas type player. A guy who can come in and rebound right away and maybe develop into a low level starter capable of giving his team 12 and 9 in 30 minutes.

Chilbert arenasParticipantHAhahaha does anyone remember how bad Kenny Thomas’ contract was??

kobyzParticipanthe remind me Tyler Hansbrough, but Tyler Hansbrough is more mentally tough and play with more energy.

DolanCareParticipantYou guys have given me a pretty clear image of how you see Gordon developing. Kenny Thomas sounds right. If he feel to the Knicks I’d be happy.
