duhrant35ParticipantIggy, Gay, and Lee. Gay to GSW, Lee to Philly. Iggy to Memphis. It works under the cap, can’t get the link from espn. Any thoughts?

CodySLCParticipantI dont see it happening. Who plays pf for GS? And I’d keep Gay over Iggy.

NCarmean18ParticipantIt is true that I think Rudy Gay is a better small forward than Iggy, however, Gay doesn’t really fit in with Memphis at the moment. Last year whenever Memphis had dominated against San Antonio and played good against OKC, it was because without Rudy Gay, Memphis had to rely heavily on Zach Randolph, something Z-Bo took with open arms and ran with.
Rudy Gay returning only altered Z-Bo’s production, and threw off this teams’ chemistry. With Iggy, you’d get a guy who doesn’t need to be ball dominate, a willing passer, and a good rebounder. Also, you add veteran leadership, which is always a plus.
However, I don’t think Gay would fit in very well with Golden State. They are a shooting team, and Curry and Thompson are going to look for a bulk of the perimeter shooting, adding Rudy Gay would only complicate things. Plus, they do not have a single player to play the 4 since the trade sending Ekpe Udoh to Milwaukee and this one trading David Lee to Philly.
It was a nice trade idea that actually worked, but I just don’t see it happening under these circumstances that these teams are in.

r377ParticipantI like it. Gay isn’t a good fit for Memphis. GS can draft Sullinger to play PF.
Sixers can move Turner to SF but might be a little short in the guard department as I think Lou Williams is a FA ? I know they have just worked out Jardine and Deron Lamb so they are looking for guards in the draft…

PrettyBoyPeeWeeParticipantUmm Gay is not better then Iggy, He might have been a better scorer this year, but better overall no, Iggy a team player, Gay thinks shoot 1st all the time, My 6ers wouldn’t want Lee anyway.

Sewok15ParticipantNo way the sixers would want David Lee with Elton Brands contract still on their payroll. A Gay for Igoudala trade straight up would make more sense and I think could benefit both teams.

morestealsthanscoresParticipantI’d say the biggest problem here is that if I’m Philly, there’s no way I’m taking Lee for Iggy straight up. Throw in Dorrell Wright and you might have a deal…

PulseGlazerParticipantYeah, Philly has no need for Lee. He’s better offensively than Brand, but significantly worse defensively and screws with Philly’s identity.
