I don’t know if this has already been said, but the first thought that popped in my mind when the Bobcats got the 2nd pick…who thinks that Jordan might risk the pick and go after Drummond? Either he’ll not take him because of what’s happened already with Kwame, or he’ll try to justify his pick by picking him and hoping he’ll turn out to be an All-Star. Personally, I think they should go with anyone between Robinson, Barnes, Gilchrist, or Beal, because they could honestly use any of them, but who knows what Michael Jordan is thinking?

Normally I am a fan of taking best available unless you’re already a contending type team looking for a specific need, but with Charlotte not having many solid pieces for the future, 4 by my count: Walker, Henderson, Augustin and Biyombo, they should definately take a SF or PF. Doubling up on a SG when you are already doubled up on PG seems unwise.

Drummond would be too risky. As mentioned, you don’t want another Kwame Brown. This would set them back significantly. When building through the draft, you need to become relvant BEFORE you start handing our big contracts to your restricted free agent "building blocks". Robinson would bring them "toughness" and more importantly offense out of their PF slot. Biyombo’s sheer athleticsm and shot blocking would be a nice fit next to Robinson. Maggette will be on the roster this year and will fill the starting SF slot.

PG: Augustin (12 PPG 8 AST 2 TRB)

SG: Henderson (15 PPG 2 AST 4 TRB)

SF: Maggette (15 PPG 1 AST 4 TRB)

PF: Robinson (12 PPG 7 TRB)

    C: Biyombo ( 8 PPG 10 TRB 2.5 BLK)

    6th man: Walker (18 PPG 4 AST 4 TRB)

With some better luck (health), experience (Walker & Biyomb) and culture (no Diaw & new coach) this team would look completely different than the record breaking one from 2011-2012. Could this be next year’s Timberwolves?

I don’t care as long Maggette is shipped the hell out of here.

The “safe picks” are Thomas Robinson and Harrison Barnes. MKG is sort of a wild card, a player who might be an undersized 3 without a jump shot but is a solid player with a great motor, and, I think, a high ceiling.

The riskier picks are Drummond and Perry Jones. But I would still work those guys out too and then take the best player on the board.

All five of those guys should be good NBA players depending on the fit.

If I were Charlotte I would keep next year in mind too since they could go after Zeller, Noel, or McAdoo, or
perhaps Shabazz Mohammed. So if they don’t really like Drummond then they could go with someone else and
then go after Cody Zeller or Nerlens Noel next year.

They need to ask themselves who would fit in best with Kemba, Biyombo, and Gerald Henderson. I also think that Byron Mullens is a player for
the future with DJ Augustin being a good trade chip with Magette and Tyrus Thomas.

People always get negged for speculating about the draft, smh lol.

The more I think about it, the more I think Robinson is the best fit. Ship Tyrus Thomas for someone to help out Gerald Henderson on the wing, and draft Robinson for some low post toughness and scoring. Plus, most believe he has the lowest risk of being a bust because he’s already proven what he can do for a team, and the Bobcats need someone they KNOW will produce

I really don’t see why people consider Robinson to be a "low-post scorer". He gets his points in the paint, sure, but in college most of those were a result of outworking and outhustling, rather than any particular moves and talent for playing the low post. In the game against Ohio State in the NCAA tourney, I saw Robinson get blocked by Sullinger in the post twice over the course of the game. Sullinger is neither particularly long or athletic, and he was able to frustrate Robinson in the post.

Every team is going to have a guy at least as long as Sullinger at the 4, and I can really see Robinson struggling to score on the block in the NBA. I really hope they go for Barnes with the #2 pick, he’s a perfect fit with the team, has always been a winner, and isn’t afraid to play his role.

I think the "best player available" mantra is what gets a lot of teams in trouble, rebuilding teams shouldn’t draft players at positions they’ve selected recently; the Thunder picked a SF, PF, PG and then SG, and it worked. You’ve got to build a team that will work as a unit, rather than just picking the best talent and hoping it fits.

I think you can’t go wrong with MKG or TRob. Both are hard workers with good attitudes, you wouldn’t regret taking either one of them….

Honestly I don’t see MJ picking Andre Drummond ,don’t get me wrong but they have just drafted a player plays at same position with amazing physical tools too who plays at same position in 2011 draft
and both players are really raw right now,I don’t think they will do 2 consecutive drafts
