     Just to make clear, I’m not a fan of any team in the playoffs. So there’s no biased for me. Anyway, while I won’t go as far as to say this has been the worst officiating of all time, it has been terrible. Despite having no vested interest in who won between Miami and Boston yesterday, I was furious at the officiating. 

     
    In terms of watchability the game was hindered so much by officiating. I’m not going to go on some tangent about Stern pushing the series out longer because that was cancelled out by calling 6 fouls on the two leading scorers of each team. The average fan wants to watch Lerbon battle it out in over time with Pierce, not have them both watching from the bench. Even I, despite that it was overtime became disheartened when LeBron was out, firstly because he left the game with a fouls that could easily be not called, and secondly because I wanted to see him succeed or fail in the clutch. Also, the game became extremely disjointed due to stoppages cause by stupid fouls.
     
    Aside taking the the better players from the game, the other problem I had was the manner and sheer amount of fouls called. 58 total (28 Celtics, 30 Heat). This is hard playoff basketball , let the men play. Off ball calls where guys go to ground don’t always need to be called, especially when they called a double foul on LeBron and Garnett,that never needed to be called. 
     
    I repeat that they have a difficult job, but the refs need to start umpiring this as playoff basketball, not whatever this tick tack foul rubbish is.
    If anyone else has issue have a go at venting you’re anger here haha.

    The officiating this year has been about as bad as its ever been.  I have been stunned at some of the calls that have been made.  The NBA should be embarrassed.

    Actually, I thought the officiating was pretty good early in the playoffs. In the first 2 rounds the referees let the play and didn’t call too many fouls… we even saw some hand checking that wasn’t called.

    But the last few games have been AWFUL.

    I think the Spurs got killed with calls in Games 4 and 5. OKC played great, don’t get me wrong, but both games should have been even going into the last few minutes. And the Game 5 quick fouls on Ibaka, Duncan and Diaw were really annoying tonight.

    Boston also got scrwed in Game 2, the Rondo game. And Game 4 was one of the worst I’ve ever seen… it didn’t even favour one team in particular, but it completely ruined the game. By the time OT came I didn’t even care who won, it wasn’t basketball anymore.

    The league has to do something about this.

    The thing that bugged me the most about MIA-BOS game 4 was how much the officiating differed between the two halves. The first half they were letting it be physical within reason, and then out of the blue starting calling ticky-tack fouls left, right and centre. At least be consistent over the course of the game, instead of listening to the Heat players whining (props to Rondo for calling them out), and nearly ruining the game.

    Some of these calls are terrible.

    The offensive foul on Westbrook today was awful he has no room and gets called for a charge.

    The 1st foul on Ibaka was weak and a soft foul on Perkins when he pushed Neal on an off. rebound that was nothing.

    Sunday’s game the 6th foul on Lebron in OT seemed like incidental contact and the double foul call on Lebron and KG clearly was a foul on Garnett.

    For the most part they have been getting fouls on illegal screens right but the other calls are very inconsistent.
