I know this is a ridiculous question because know one can predict the futures, but all users can post their conspiracy theories for why they think a certain team will win the lottery here.

Cleveland wins….Davis and Irving form the core of a team so that when S—head #6 of the Heat comes to his player option year…..he goes back to Cleveland

(A couple hours before the draft lotto, Dan Gilbert playing on his dart boad with Lebron’s face on it, and he calls David Stern.)

Gilbert: Hey David how have you been!

Stern: Great, excuse me, I was just coahcing up the refs for tommorow’s Miami Boston game.

Gilbert: Wait a minute, you promised you wouldn’t let them win a tittle or even have a chance for one until my guys were ready to beat them.

Stern: Yeah, I know, but second and third round exits are no fun, we’ll run them to hte brink again, and then Bennett will do his thing. So what do you need Dan?

Gilbert: Well, you know that deal we did make about my guys chalanging the Heat, well we could really speed up hte process if we get Ant-

Stern: Oh no, here we go again…….

Gilbert: Wait! Wait! Here me out, if we get Davis this year, we’ll get a record a little bit below .500, and then midway through the season we’ll shut down Kyrie with "Shoulder Tendinitis" and then you could give us another top 3 pick, maybe Shabazz. You could stall the Heat this year adn next, and then in the last year of their contrats where they have an opt out, there’ll be so much buzz and pressure on them, and I’ll have a thrid year Kyrie, a second year Davis, a rookie Muhammed, plus Tristan Thompson who will give us 10 and 6, if we can get some solid vets and some draft steals, we could get a surprise playoff matchup with the Heat. Do you have any idea what that would do for the league’s ratings? That would top the Finals’ ratings, it would be crazy! So what do you say David?

Sern: Very well, I’ll have you in consideration………..along with the 15 other teams that want the number one pick.

Gilbert: But there are only 14 lotto te-

Stern: You don’t want to know.

Gilbert: So I’ll take that as a no?

Stern: Oh no you’re getting a top 3, that’s for sure, but Mikhail promised a private secret mansion in Russia with an unlimited supply of Cream Puffs!

Gilbert: Ok, see you this weekend, but don’t invite Chris, he keeps rambling about how Hasheem Thabeet will be better than Blake Griffin.

    Stern: Will do.

If I can think of a conspiracy that really helps the league then I will go with the Brooklyn Nets getting the number one pick and then trading Anthony Davis to the Magic for Dwight Howard.

The Nets get their new superstar to take with them to Brooklyn.  He and Deron Williams would form a nice pair.  Gerald Wallace and Brook Lopez/Kris Humphries would form a great core.  Gerald Green would give them a nice young dunker/3 point shooter if he resigns.

The Magic trade their mercurial star and get Anthony Davis in return.  Davis can run, rebound, block shots, and dunk.  He is also a winner with a supposedly better offensive game that he is given credit for.

If I am the Magic I also ask for Brook Lopez to make the money situation work out.  Brook can really score.  He would form a good frontcourt combo with Anthony Davis.

That would then give Orlando this core:

    Starters

    PG:  Jameer Nelson

    SG:  Jason Richardson

    SF:  Ryan Anderson

    PF:  Anthony Davis

    C:   Brook Lopez

    Reserves:

    SG:  JJ Reddick

    SF/PF:  Hedo Turkoglu

    PF:  Big Baby Davis

If I were Orlando I would also ask if the Nets would take on Hedo’s contract.  If they would then that would be a long-term benefit for the Magic.  They could then have a good big man core of Lopez, Anthony Davis, Big Baby, and Ryan Anderson who could also play the 3.  Getting rid of Hedo would help free up some money.  The Magic also have a late first round pick and DeAndre Liggins for the future.  Daniel Orton is a big guy who might resign with the Magic.  They also have some good veteran types in Chris Duhon and Quentin Richardson.

I like this team a lot though.  They are well balanced and talented inside and on the wings with a good veteran point guard in Jameer Nelson.  This is a pretty deep draft so they should get a nice player with their own pick.

Well, this is the best conspiracy theory I can think of.  We will see if it happens.

Well, the Bobcats have a 25% chance.

    The Wizards have almost 20%

The Cavs and Hornets are both around 13%

The Kings and Blazers are around 7%.

Cavs or Wizards would be ideal

Wall and Davis or Irving and Davis….sheesh

But those teams have already had recent #1 picks, i’d like to see a new team get a chance, the Bobcats

One tandem that would be scary as hell, Cousins and Davis, for the next decade? That would be SCARY. Imagine how beast that frontcourt would be.

Im rooting for either Charlotte or Detroit. But if the Wizards dont get #1 they may move the pick, according to the guy on the “other site”

Jonathan Givony (@draftexpress) Hear they might try to move the pick if they don’t get #1. RT @scotteharris4: Don’t the wizards already have an MKG type in chris singleton?

I don’t buy all the conspiracy theories but if we want some then:-

First pick goes to the Bobcats to say thank you to MJ for all the money he made the NBA.

Second pick goes to NJ which may persuade D-Will to stay or gives them nice trading bait for D-12.

Third pick goes to NOH to help them along their way after the NBA owned the team.

I do think Detroit is the favorite conspiracy team with GS being 2nd. The town of Detroit is on an upswing on its sports team  even with the city closing auto manufacturers. It will raise hope

Kings fan here…but I kinda want the Kings to get #2.  For some reason I feel like getting AD would stunt Demarcus’ growth.  Prob just trippin but feels weird when both your best players are bigs. Its like that one year when Orlando coulda had Shaq and Webber.

I know what you mean, I wouldn’t want another big man taking touches from him. I’d rather come up on an explosive small forward type like MKG. Our transition offense would look pretty nice.

Dude, Mikhail Provohorak owns the Nets, not the Hornets. The Saints owner Tom Benson bought the Hornets, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is one of the gifts for him taking the team off his hands.

In a suprise move the NBA awards the first pick to the Lakers because "We really want the Lakers to do better" according to David Stern.

These are the top 10 media markets in the US. Most of the teams made the playoff with some of them getting old. With no Derrick Rose in the #3 media market and no way to get NY or Lakers better in the lottery Stern gives it to the 6th ranked market cuz #2 and #7 are getting old fast

    2Los Angeles

    5Dallas-Ft. Worth
    6San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose

I’m going with the Bobcats on this one.. They needed this top pick more than any team out there.. They simply SUCK! If they want marketability and ticket sales, they’re gonna have to cross their fingers and get that top pick…

Cleveland would have to get extremely lucky to win the lottery two years in a row, don’t see that happening. For Washington, twice in three years seems almost as unlikely.

I’m going to pick Golden State.

conspiracy theory ?I gotta say the Hornets ,the league owns that team,if they are gonna favor a team then it will be the team they own and want to sell
But I’ve this feeling that Nets and Raptors will move up top 3

The Knicks never got a lottery break in 2008 or 2009 so any conspiracy theories about them don’t hold up in those two years.

The Kings could come into the picture if the League is keen to keep the team in Sac-Town if you want another conspiracy idea

So, going by the conspiracy theory thought process.

    Brookyln

    GSW

    Washington

    Houston

Are the teams we should be looking to get the #1 pick. Davis would fit well with all of those teams but GSW would have to move someone. Washington, Brookyln, and Houston would be clean fits.

Did David Robinson stunt the growth of Tim Duncan ? I don’t you should worry about that

With that being said I would like Detroit or Sacramento to get it.
Either Davis and Monroe or Davis and cousins

Who do you think would make a better duo out of the two
