Don’t you guys think Aran should sticky for easy access some embedding help for all different types of multimedia on the Forums section?

Because I always F-ing forget how to embed gifs and some other stuff.

And I’m sure some other people and also newer posters would appreciate it as well.

Yes, people post that stuff but for those of us who don’t embed very often we always need to look it up.

    NoMoney PSA: YouTube Videos

    1. Go to the YouTube video you want share.

    2. Click the ‘Embed’ button under the video.

    3. Check the fourth box under the code, which says "Use old embed code"

    4. Copy the embed code.

    5. Go to wherever you want to share the video on NBADraft.net

    6. Click the underlined "Switch to plain text editor" link which is directly under the rich text editor.

    7. Paste code.

    8. Share

    For gifs and pictures:

    1. Find gif or picture online that you want to share.

    2. Right-click on gif/picture and then left-click on "Copy Image Location"

    3. Go to wherever you want to share the gif/picture on NBADraft.net

    4. Click the underlined "Switch to plain text editor" link which is directly under the rich text editor.

    5. Type <*img src=""/*> (Without the asterisks)

    6. Right-click in-between the quotation marks and select "Paste" (It should post the image location as long as you haven’t copied anything else in the meantime)

    7. Click "Switch to rich text editor" and you should see a preview of your gif/picture

    8. Share

You can also use Photobucket or Imageshack if the gif/picture is already saved to your computer.

"Didin’t work it does it on the preview , but does not post it."

That’s because you skipped step 3.

"2. Click the ‘Embed’ button under the video."

    3. Check the fourth box under the code, which says ‘Use old embed code’"

I knew how to post images because I’ve dabbled in some web design before. The YouTube videos was the hard ones, and even after I learned how I still usually forget to check the use old embed code box.

Thanks for the help money bags.

Now slap the sticky on it!!!

I’m afraid my sticky-slapping days are over. Mollom took that power away from me after I repeatedly and maliciously used it to harrass MagikKnick.

All I can do now is edit posts and turn people I don’t like into cyclo.

Nope clicked the 4th box and it still didn’t work.  Tried it three times to make sure I didn’t miss something.

Did you select one of the available video sizes under the check boxes?

Make sure to not select one too wide for it, if I recall correctly one around 640 should be fine.
