Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantA couple of phantom calls have given the Lakers an advantage. The Thunder are unable to touch any of the Lakers or else it’s a foul but Artest can clothesline two people in a play and nothing is called.

HotSnotParticipantI hear ya. I had been watching the first half. 2nd foul on Sefolosha was BS. That was some clean defense. Kobe then got another call on Collison while he drove, jumped and twisted in reverse… meanwhile Collison was intentionally moving backwards away from Kobe.
Then a couple minutes later… ball out off Kobe after 2 Thunder players were screwing around and Kobe swipped it away…and they gave the ball to the Lakers.
I turned off the game. It drives me banana’s.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantit is hard to watch when they blatantly try to help the Lakers win, but they have been doing it for years!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 5:10pm #670726

mgreener_34ParticipantNa this game hasn’t been to bad from an officiating standpoint. The calls are going both ways, but that no call from MWP was terrible. I rather it go that way then one team getting blatant favortism over another.
On a side note, I’m really impressed with Ibaka this year. The last time he played the Lakers in the playoffs we all were amazed at his athletic ability, and promise that he would bring. Now he is still a beast on defense, but can play more in the flow of the game, and can hit that jumpshot. In fact everyone on the Thunder have seemed to become good shooters over the last year. Thabo, Westbrook, and Ibaka have all seemed to improve drammaticly
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 5:31pm #670728

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAnd once again, three consecutive phantom fouls. Two on Ibaka and one on Sefolosha.

KayjayParticipantIf OKC prevents games from being close, they know L.A. will most likely lose interest. Laker fans tend to dissapear when their team is in trouble. Besides that, they are really pounding the inside. Smart approach, but I can’t help but scream how cheap it is lolol. The equivalent to using a double Tight end set in the NFL. Big ass wide recievers that are much too big for Defensive backs to handle.

I May Be WrongParticipantIt’s a little weird to see Durant with only 8 shot attempts after 3 quarters. Yeah, Westbrook has 15 attempts but Durant has had the ball in his hands too. He’s got 4 assists which is nice but he’s been a little passive IMO. It could be the improved Laker defense but still, the best scorer in the league needs to start taking some more shots.

llperezThe thunder got away with two straight charge calls on durant when knocked over Blake and kicked it out for three, and harden when Kobe was back and took it square. The calls aren’t that lopsided. Thunder are grabbing like crazy
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:02pm #670739

mgreener_34ParticipantSorry perez, but no one is jumping on that bangwagon. The Lakers have gotten every call this half, and most of them changed the game by sending players to the bench.
Also that three and block by Ibaka has been nasty
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:09pm #670744

jerb2011ParticipantThe refs have let the teams play this quarter, the Thunder don’t want to win this game. They refuse to pick up the pace, and Scott Brooks is letting the game slip away like he has done a few times this season
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:09pm #670748

I May Be WrongParticipantUNBELIEVABLE COMEBACK! OKC down 7 going on a furious run to go up 1…..
but now it’s Kobe’s chance to win. Oh the drama!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:15pm #670753
RJay757ParticipantKobe lost the game in the final minutes, i’m a big fan of his but thats the truth
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:15pm #670745

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantOH MY GOD!
The Thunder made a huge comeback, if you don’t believe Harden could average 22-24 PPG on his own team, this is proof of how much he has improved since his rookie year. Blowing past Kobe and Artest and scoring over Gasol and Bynum.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:15pm #670747
Ahkasi ClayParticipantis he really going to shoot them out of a win again?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:16pm #670749

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantKobe with back-to-back turnovers in the final minute and a half along with terrible shots, especially when Bynum has been playing very well. Still, look for Kobe to take the final shot.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:16pm #670750

Afactor4ParticipantGreat final 2 minutes. Durant has been so good! First with the steal on Bryant then with that go ahead layup taking a "shooters touch" lucky bounce
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:19pm #670751

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant5 seconds left on the clock, does Kobe knock it down? This moment is built for Kobe. The most hostile crowd, big playoff game, final shot down by 1.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:21pm #670752

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThabo Sefolosha should take home the game ball. He denied the hell out of Kobe in those final three throw-ins.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:23pm #670757

IndianaBasketballParticipantKobe’s choking ass. Inexcusable.
He lost this game for his team.
Thunder in 5.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:24pm #670754

llperezkobe did lose it for them. No arguing that. But damn if blake doesnt hit that three… Oh well, if the lakers play defense like this, they have a chance to take care of home court.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:26pm #670760

WizardofOzParticipantEpic choke job by the Lakers. 9-0 run by the Thunder in the last 2 minutes? LMAO.
Kobe lost it for them, but Blake should’ve hit that shot.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:26pm #670755

jerb2011ParticipantTHey picked up the pace and had LAL bigs chasing instead of chillin’ in the paint and that’s why they won!!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:26pm #670756

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantLmao at Kevin Durant
Dude shoots it so well, he doesn’t even know how to miss lol
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:27pm #670763

IndianaBasketballParticipantI won’t blame Blake one bit… Game shouldn’t have even been close.
Kobe needs his back pat because he’s choking so bad his face is purple. Serious choke job.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:31pm #670758

mgreener_34ParticipantI see a lot of you talking about Kobe losing the game, but come on…How does Steve Blake get open, and how do you miss that shot? He’s not sleeping tonight
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:40pm #670766
DurantsWingspanI’m with you Indiana. Thunder in 5. The thing I am a little concerned with is Durant’s passiveness. It might be a great thing actually, with Westbrook always taking the shots and Durant only taking shots if they are high percentage (most of the time they are), but in the last second of the game I am not sure if I would want to give it to Durant or Westbrook. I mean Durant is the better scorer, but Westbrook can get to the lane and get to the line.
Maybe I am real crazy being that he hit the game winner tonight and he is my favorite player so how can i criticize him for this, but he just rubbed me the wrong way only taking that many shots in this big of a game. Part of me thinks its a good thing part of me thinks its bad. What do you think?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:43pm #670769

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantMy question is, why does Kobe take so many bad shots? We all know he can make them but that doesn’t mean they aren’t bad shots. When we look at Durant, he picks his spots and takes open or high percentage shots. I think Kobe’s cockiness gets to him, he thinks he can make any shot he takes so he gets lazy and takes bad shots.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 6:52pm #670772

IndianaBasketballParticipantDurant takes good shots???
There are stretches where he just jacks up long shots and like settles. Plus he’s too passive at times.
Thunder will beat Lakers, but not the Spurs.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 7:05pm #670773

Bvilleballer21ParticipantGlad people on this board are giving Kobe the blame he deserves after trashing LeBron for far less. Kobe choked about as bad as one can choke tonight, on top of playing a poor game in the first place. TO to Durant dunk, TO then get scored on after inbound, brick on bad shot, airball. Terrible. To Skip Bayless: WHY DIDN’T HE DEMAND THE LAST SHOT? NO CLUTCH GENE? NO MATTER HOW OPEN BLAKE WAS KOBE HAS TO TAKE IT. Lol. That’s what we expect from Bron!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 7:24pm #670776

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantYes Durant takes good shots. You don’t shoot 49% by taking bad shots.
Doesn’t happen.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 7:24pm #670777

mookieParticipantBash Kobe all you want…but at least he’s man enough to want the last shot. Steve Blake shooting it is no different than Udonis, cept Kobe wouldn’t have passed it to either one.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 7:28pm #670778
DurantsWingspanHighly doubt that. No way the Spurs beat the Thunder. Thunder in 6.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 8:58pm #670791

sheltwon3ParticipantLakers lost a chance to steal a road win but I think they should be able to win 2 at home. This series may go to game 7. Lakers made adjustments also they are a better home team than road team so maybe their bench will show up.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 9:00pm #670792

sheltwon3ParticipantI am kind of upset with this lost because the way their half court defense was. They could have held the ball and shot it with the shot clock at 1 second left of both possessions and they would have won they game. OKC basically got 3 layups that they should never have gotten.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/16/2012 - 9:49pm #670798
NYK2010ParticipantKobe blows it for the Lakers 5 missed shots in the 4th qtr and 9 for 25 shots total.
Gasol needs more shots 11 shots meanwhile Artest gets 10.
The fallaway 20 footer from the baseline was a really bad shot by Kobe.
The defense was bad the last 2 mins but they could’ve still won they attack with 19 secs left but playing for the last shot rarely ever works.
This series is most likely over in 5 but who knows maybe the Lakers play their hearts out and force a Game 6.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:33am #670817
PulseGlazerParticipantSpurs and Thunder are the 2-best in the league right now thanks to injuries… but the Spurs right now just seem better. They match up exceptionally well with OKC as they are mostly susceptable to power 4 and 5s, which OKC lacks.
