Guys, I apologize for taking up a spot on the main page but Noboby ever responds to The Post made in the Video Games Section of the forum…I’m sorry but I wanted to know if any gamers could help me out with this Question…

How do I find out my computer can run Nintendo Video Game Emulators…I know that there has to be some Gamer on this forum that can help me with this question, I’m looking to download NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 Video game emulators to an HP desktop computer…what do I need to do/know/buy to get my daughter some Retro Gaming Experience???

    NES ROM Emulator

    Games

Every NES Game + Emulator Torrent

Nothing too complicated. Just open the emulator after you’ve downloaded it. Then go to the "File" menu and open whichever game you saved.

Explore around and you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding the other systems.

I’ve downloaded from all three myself. I used the torrent (third link) to get all the NES games, but I play them on the RockNESX (first link). I use ROM_WORLD (second link) to download SNES ROMS on occasion. I wouldn’t worry about downloading the files I linked to you.

That being said, you can get a virus by jackpotting around on thepiratebay or looking for ROM material on the Internet. If you’re looking for quality protection, I use MalwareBytes and AVG. Both are free, customizable and — most importantly — won’t slow down your computer. AVG will give you a warning if you pick up a virus and give you the option to quarantine it immediately. I scan my computer using both every few weeks just to make sure I didn’t pick anything up.

I went to the first Link, click Download NES Emulator, went and downloaded a Punch Out Rom from the second link but now I don’t know what to do to bring up the game just to see if It all works…

    1. Download RockNESX using the link I gave you.
    2. Find the folder you just downloaded. Should be named "rocknesx20f.zip".
    3. Extract files from folder using 7Zip, WinZip or whatever program you use to Extract/Compress files.
    4. Find game you want to play here (Punch-Out U in this case).
    5. Download game.
    6. Open RockNESX.exe (it’s the one with the Mario Icon) in the folder you downloaded earlier.
    7. Open the "File" menu.
    8. Click on "Open and Play ROM"
    9. Find the game you downloaded earlier. Titled: "Punch-Out!! (U).zip"
    10. Figure out the controls (the hardest part of this process) and play.

Controls (can be changed in the options menu in the emulator) –

    Arrows to Move
    X on the Keyboard = A
    Z on the Keyboard = B
Right Shift on the Keyboard = Select
    Enter = Start

Protip – Watch your volume before starting the game.

I have put all the Nes games on my Samsung Galaxy phone. Having so much games, photos, music, really lagged my phone. So chose to delete the games and to keep everything else running smooth.
