The Scare Crow RisesParticipantIF….
Evan Turner and Jrue Holiday take that next step and gain the confidence it takes to become All Star Level players…
Turner has a chip on his shoulder, Jrue looks very comfortable shooting the ball but he doesn’t shoot enough…
Ray Allen and Paul Pierce being injured makes me believe the Sixers will win this series in 6 games…They should be up be at least 10 points, they let Boston stay in the game and hopefully it doesn’t bite us in the ass
BTW, I think Turner is emerging into a very good player this post season, he’s the key to a Sixers victory tonight, if he continues to torch his man and rack up the rebounds, the Sixers will win game 1…

HitsterParticipantEvan is having a great game so far tonight. This series will be a tough slog as it means so much to both teams, do Boston get one more shot with this current line up or do Philly make their first conference final since the AI era.
I seem to recall last time there was a shortened season in 1998-99, the Knicks who were 8th seeds made the finals, could this be a lucky omen for Philly.
I can see a 6 or 7 game series with the Celtics just edging it.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI like the Celtics in 6. They defend just as well and they have more go-to players down the stretch… They execute better down the stretch.
The Celtics as a team can close out a game very well. They defend/get stops, take care of the ball and get good shots on offense/don’t waste possessions.
I want to keep a close eye on Paul Pierce and his knee though.

Meditated StatesParticipantAre not all star level players what are you watching? C’s look banged up but Philly is gone in 5 I think. Celtics just have to hang around cause sixers suck in the 4th quarter, no leader or star. 4th quarter execution will be the story of this series and C’s are better.

omphalosParticipantCeltics in 5. Boston was banged up against Atlanta but was able to gut out a win, they are going to step on the throat of the Sixers to rest up for Miami in the ECF, but there’s no chance they lose this series.
Yes, I’m a Celtics fan, but Philly doesn’t believe they can win, so they won’t.
