The 09 draft is full of projects. you could argue that the top seven picks Blake griffin is a project. first off he won’t be stronger than everyone else on the court, the players he will be matched up with will be his size. Almost as atheltic but much more Savy than he could ever imagine. I see foul trouble being a issue. Where he has the rest of the draft beat is in conpetetiveness. The number one atribute to be succesful. The draft is full of player who stuggled to compete at the college level. Let’s run down the list of project: ricky rubio, at least 2 form contributing in the NBA, hasheem( how ever u spell his last name) no offense, I mean none. Jordan hill Is he really gonna be a player or is he drew gooden all over again. I think james harden just needs to develop he outside of griffin is the most NBA ready he made a name for himself wile being over shadowed by the likes of last years draties whom had made a name for themseves befor they set foot on campus and many of them had success at the NBA level. Damag darozen another project that it took almost the whole season to learn to compete at the college level so how could he be NBA ready. The number of point cards not named derrick rose who come out a year after graduation is too many to name. He can’t shoot but he is a true point guard ala mike conley. There are some sure things in this draft but they are mostly jr. And sr. The fact that earl Clark can guard 3 positions and has a not spectacular but a decent all around game. Stephen curry will be able to shoot and get his own shot if he’s the point guard if he’s a 2 not so much. gerald henderson will be able to defend and has a good mid range game to go with his athletic ability. Wayne Ellington will be a shooter and a scorer. The a lot of the players in this draft will have to learn how to compete befor they can even be thought about as contributers.

Almost everybody will be as athletic?? Blake if without a doubt already an elite athletic freak by NBA standards. Who is to say he cant be stronger he wants to be great and a strong work regimen can enable this.

Dude. Can you spell or use relatively proper grammar? I read the first three sentences and you’ve lost all credibility in my mind.

It was like four in the mourning when I typed it on my phone my bad! He is a world class athlete. NBA bigs are much more athletic, bigger and stronger so it will be much harder for him to score. He has no post game except dunking so scoring won’t be as easy as it was in college. The number of power forwards who are scorers in the league who can’t nock down a jumpshot are few.

He will get bangs off of rebounds and putbacks, bangs in the fast brake. I bet he is shooting jumpers in the gym with a NBA level trainer right now. Every rookie struggles, Blake will too. He is going to play a lot and he will score and rebound a lot, and get fouled often. Needs to work on that free throw shooting though. Imagine Blake with NBA strength and conditioning coaches lol.
