Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantMan, this is going to go down to the wire once again. Back-to-back buckets for Rudy Gay and they now hold a 2 point lead with just over 6 minutes in the 4th.

ghrghrParticipantConley is making a difference in this game. Controlling the offense and feeding the ball to who is in good position. He has made all the Grizzlies’ 3 pointers in the game.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThere is not one player on the Grizzlies that hasn’t made an impact in these last 5 minutes. Zach Randolph with a tip in and a dunk. Marc Gasol with defense and passing. Conley hitting shots and controlling the tempo. Allen coming up with back-to-back steals. Gay knocking down some jumpers. The Grizzlies are working like a well-oiled machine.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantFoye had no business trying to grab that rebound. Absolutely no business, the box out was perfect and Butler would have had it. No idea why Foye decided to bull-rush into the lane to grab it.

B-ball fanParticipantMan, the Grizzlies were actually really clutch this game. When the Clippers took a 76-68 lead with Chris Paul on the bench, I thought that the Grizzlies chance looked a little slim, as their offense was starting to look stagnant like it had down the stretch in previous games in the series. Mike Conley had an outstanding game, I thought. He made some poor plays, but he just kept attacking and made some big shots and distributed the ball well.
Kudos to Hamed Haddadi for a good 3 minutes off the bench. He surprised me, considering he came in cold off the bench. He was a little slow defending the pick and roll, but his blocked shot and rebound out beyond the 3 point arc was huge, as was that offensive rebound put-back.
I think the Clippers need to get Griffin the ball in the post even more. He was very effective when he did get the ball in the post.
I was surprised Paul wasn’t more effective in the pick and roll. The Grizzlies defense on him was outstanding. Tony Allen was tremendously energetic, as was Conley, and the Memphis bigs rotated better and covered more ground than they did in previous games.

WizardofOzParticipantDid the Clippers really not foul Conley?

B-ball fanParticipantI should add that Chris Paul’s injury issues may have contributed to making the Grizzlies’ defense look so much better, but I think the Grizzlies still did play with especially good energy.

WizardofOzParticipantAnd someone needs to gif Conley running away that last play.
