Derrick Rose and Iman Shumpert suffered knee injuries on the same night and Wednesday the Knicks guard needs had his surgery. Rose’s surgery to repair the torn ACL won’t be done for a few weeks.
K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune explains why Rose’s surgery is being delayed and he writes: "Every injury is different, of course. And the Bulls and Rose want him to have a fuller range of motion, his swelling to fully subside and his quadriceps muscle to be strengthened before undergoing surgery. That process could take two to four weeks from the April 29 injury."
Rose may need nine months to get back on the floor which means he won’t return until sometime in 2013.
