Toronto16ParticipantI’d rather watch the Bobcats vs. the Hornets in a 7 game series than that video again.

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantCongratulations goes to Steve Francis on being an official member of the “Being a famous basketball player is not enough. Instead I’ll make a fool of myself by becoming a rapper” club!
Members of this exclusive club include:
Allen Iverson
Kobe Bryant

Shaq

The man formerly known as Ron Artest

And my personal favorite, Mr. Chris Webber

FastAndFuriousParticipantLol sound like JaRule.
It’s not THAT bad, but he’s not going to blow up at all.

CavsFan07ParticipantFastAndFurious: Did you just say it’s not THAT bad?!?!? Did you hear/watch the same music video I just did?
That was AWFUL!

I May Be WrongParticipantDoes this song officially surpass Rashad McCants and his acting career?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 10:54am #663952

UNCbasketballbumParticipantSteve Francishas about as much rapping talent as Soulja Boy.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 11:04am #663956

UNCbasketballbumParticipantno way, at least Stevie Franchise had a decent NBA career making all-star teams and won the slam dunk competition one year, so I give him a pass for that video. Rashad McCants did absolutely nothing in the NBA.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 11:30am #663974

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantThe verses arent him, Steve Francis is singing, literally singing the hook. I think the chick must be his wife, theres like 4 kids in the video.
Best part is his rap name is Steve Francis. He’s talking at the end is classic.
IMBW thank you for that Mccants reference, its been a bad day and I needed that. Did you see the wig, C’mon son. I always thought he could have been a all pro safety in the NFL when the League didnt work out.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 11:42am #663980

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantat least he’s not broke. Sprewell lost his boat feeding all those kids. The 13 year old that cuts my grass has more disposable income than Antoine Walker. Iverson is charging 10 bucks to take jumpshots for sorry kids at carnivals to win prizes.

Lotto StudParticipantOne thing about it! Unlike 90% of the rappers in the game I am quite sure he footed the bill for everything in that video unless he is broke which I highly doubt if he invested his money properly. I am not ashamed to say I am proud to see him on camera for once since he had been blackballed from the league. It is good to see or hear from a guy who has been off the radar for quite some time now. Like I’ve stated once before this is a good look on his end, if he does in fact still have funds from the NBA. By the way he was not talking about drugs or guns at all, so give credit when credit is due. This man was just showing how he treats a young lady on a trip out of the states, which gives us all a glimpse of what it is like to be a man in the league that’s a GENTLEMEN instead of deadbeat father or husband.

Hey hey hey, Allen Iverson and Ron Artest weren’t that bad. I actually liked Ron Artest’s single when they won the ring.
Ron Artest – Champions
Allen Iverson – Jewels
They’re not half bad, if you ask me. Then again, nobody asked me.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 1:27pm #664024

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHow has Kareem Rush not been mentioned?
Once again, it isn’t half bad.

I May Be WrongParticipantTOL-23 — Was that Champion song on 2k as well? I remember hearing it on there but I never knew it was Ron Ron lol
Also, shout out my boy Lou Williams and his rap career! he’s boys with Meek lol (not the best but not the worst)

FastAndFuriousParticipantCavsFan:
No Waka Flocka is awful
Soulja Boy is awful
Lil B is awful
Hell even tho I like him….Future is awful
This song was not awful, he makes sense, probably not that good lyrically, but its not terrible, or as bad as people are making it out to be.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 1:49pm #664038

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantFastAndFurious
Yeah, you’re right, it’s not bad. He’s not Nas or Eminem (who is?) but he’s much better than guys like Flocka, Soulja, 2Chainz, and Future.
Lyrically, he’s not really saying anything but it could be worse.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 1:51pm #664043

FastAndFuriousParticipantLol yea, I’ve heard guys who go platinum with worst songs than that.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 1:59pm #664048

qDizzle32ParticipantShaq sucked as a rapper, Ron Artest… I mean Metta Cheap Shottin World Peace sucked, Allen Iverson sucked, Troy Hudson sucked and Stevie Franchise sucks even worse than his final years in the NBA!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 04/25/2012 - 3:06pm #664075
SpacegrassParticipant50% of hip hop today in the mainstream sucks donkey nuts anyway and Stevie Franchise’s shit was no worse than all the crap that sucks today yet is played on the radio. BTW sweet hair that McCants was rocking in that trailer you posted , shit looked ridiculous.

joecheck88ParticipantAt least the label was an original name…. Maserati Music? Like Maybach music? What’s with naming your label after a car? I don’t get it. I guess it’s better than "hopped up out my bed, turned my swag on, looked on the mirror said what’s up" lol

SubZeroParticipantAt least he’s based.
Lol at the "parental advisory" tag on Ron’s album cover
