rickybobbyParticipantIm glad they gave him a hefty suspension, 7 games at playoff time is alot, i personal thought he should have got atleast got five games while other analyst where saying one to three games where enough because it didnt look intentional and they couldnt tell. Things like this shouldnt be tolerrated and im glad the league made him pay. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/7851983/metta-world-peace-los-angeles-lakers-suspended-7-games-elbow

bloodshyParticipantI thought suspending him through the rest of the year (including any possible playoff games) plus a $100,000 fine would have been reasonable. Had this been a first offense, I’d cut him some slack. But we already know this clown.

frogmanParticipantRest of the year and $100,000 fine!? Jesus. Roger Goodell is that you?
I think 7 is a bit too much. I think 3 woulda been about right.

rickybobbyParticipantYou think 7 games is too much and 3 games is enough for a guy who already has a bad reputation that intentially elbowed someone in the face, and he knew he was there because they bump into each other and thats when MWP decided to take the guy out, and the way raised he arm above his head to do it and then he just jogged back without a reaction made it really evident that it was on purpose. Also when he squared up and was ready to fight made it even more obvious. I know MWP is suppose to be some sort of tough guy( Got punked by Ben Wallace who mushed then threw him back, but MWP took his anger out of a much smaller fan smh, isnt a tough guy to me) but try to hurt someone for no apparent reason shouldn’t be taking lightly even in competetive sports.
And Bynum was suspended 5 games for his incident with Barea last year, with the league new policies and things on concussions i think 7 games is fine. 3 games would have been to soft, heck guys get one game just for leaving the bench during an altercation. The point is MWP knew what he was doing and should be held according.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI would have said a minimum of 5 and I could easily make an argument for 10, as could others so this is a solid compromise.
What makes this not your average 7 game suspension is that he will be missing 6 playoff games which could be the entire first round.
If they face the Mavs then they could really miss Meta World Wrestling Federation (MWWF).On the other hand, if the Lakers win their first round series in 6 games then Ron Squared will be well rested to face the Thunder in round two. Game 1 of that second round series would be in Oklahoma City with police standing by. Man, I hope they put up a cage for Thundermania live from the Oklahoma City Thunderdome.
