GoodbyeChandlerParticipantHere’s the story:
Coming off a dreadful season in the Pac-12, what impact does the incoming freshman class have on the Bruins and their title hopes?

Johnny ChillJosh Smith 2.0

CavsFan07ParticipantI really pray Josh Smith doesn’t tell Parker after his first workout/practice at UCLA, "Hey man, nice job! Let’s go grab some dinner."
It would only go downhill from there.

Sasha4MVPParticipantFor some reason I thought you guys were talking about the Hawks’ Josh Smith

Wahoo757ParticipantWow, you took the words right out of my mouth. Short, stocky centers that are nimble and have a pretty nice touch. UCLA’s PF and C positions were already pretty set before Parker got there with the Wear twins and Josh Smith. I wouldn’t be all that surprised if he transfers because I don’t see him taking that many minutes away from those three, unless he’s okay seeing a lot of bench his first two years.

MalcolmxParticipantNow that is how you recruit

jeff416ParticipantUCLA is going to be loaded next year. They are going to be the most talented team in the country imo.

Chilbert arenasParticipantAlot of lipids on that front line
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 12:42pm #663085

Chilbert arenasParticipantWith all this talent comes expectation that Ben Howland better be prepared to meet
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 1:13pm #663098

Dale WorthingtonParticipantUCLA better slice through the Pac-12 without a hiccup.
There is no team in that league with remotely comparable talent, save maybe Arizona.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 1:49pm #663114
Neville15ParticipantAll Howland had to do was take Parker out to an all you can eat buffet and that sealed the deal
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 2:00pm #663117

providencefriars1ParticipantIm saying rotationally…
PG Kyle Anderson 20, Larry Drew 20
SG Tyler Lamb 27, Kyle Anderson 8, Norman Powell 5
SF Shabazz Muhammed 35, Jordan Adams 5
PF Travis Wear 25, David Wear 15
C Joshua Smith 20, Travis Wear 5, David Wear 10, Tony Parker 5

Wahoo757ParticipantThat seems reasonable. That’s why I wish Parker would have went to UGA or OSU, he’d get a lot more playing time. He’s a transfer waiting to happen.

patty-millsDont forget Josh Smith played very well his freshman, then struggled last year, so hopefully Tony Parker can play like Josh Smith did his freshman year.
I think people are are underrating Arizona though they have a great recruiting class, and have some very good returning players, how Josiah Turner plays is gonna be their x factor.
Ucla-Arizona should be a great matchup.

akhan786ParticipantDoes UCLA have enough food to feed both Tony Parker AND Josh Smith??
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 2:28pm #663135
patty-millsDangit, well they better hope Mark Lyons transfers there.

Wahoo757ParticipantJosiah Turner is transferring, nice try though.

TyroberParticipantTony Parker and Josh Smith? This will get confusing when they are in the NBA

llperezThe wear twins should start and then the big boys will come in and bang off the bench. Should be a fun year in Westwood. Plus the bruins didn’t have any home games last year, they’ll be back in the heavily renovated pauley pavilion which will add more fan support.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantPHART HOLE!
Sad to see Marky Ly leave the X-Men.
That’s about as good a transfer as you will ever see.

Demarcus OnealParticipantUCLA and Nc state will be two teams that will have alot of young talent that could be really good
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 4:16pm #663185

MalcolmxParticipantI say let the big big start and bring the wear twins off the pine. It is hard for the heavy dudes to get rolling when they don’t start. Then depending on whoever is hot during the game, let them finish the game. The sleeper in this recruiting class is Jordan Adams. that kid can really shoot the pill.
