mookieParticipantI personally think it’s a shame he’s going to be the coach of SMU. The guy quits and always has his eyes and ears open for other "better" jobs, even if there aren’t any. The guys keeps getting chances and he’s proven over and over he has ZERO loyalty. I remember when he was coaching the Pistons in the finals but was looking for other jobs during the finals! Damn shame if you ask me

kanyedabestParticipanti think its a great thing, as a basketball fan im deeply intrigued to see how much pull old larry has with high schoolers, i wanna see if he can sign big time recruits and maybe put SMU on the map

Johnny ChillWhat is the over/under for seasons before Larry Brown leaves SMU?
I got it at 3. He wont even see his first recruiting class graduate.

surveParticipantI agree with everything you said about Larry Brown. The thing is….every team he has coached he has made better. So from that perspective, even if he leaves within 3 years, which he most surely will, SMU will likely be a better team and thats why they are hiring him.

JoeWolf1I think with him traveling with Kansas and having two of his former grad assistants playing each other in the national championship game, made him miss the college game. I really think he wants to retire a college coach, and whether or not it’s at SMU it’s still a good move by the school.
