So I’m watching half time of the Spurs vs Lakers game and it’s a little ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, Shaq and Chuck add a great group dynamic when they compliment analysts. They’re funny and they obviously know more about the game through experience than any other anouncers. That being said, you cant put Shaq, Chuck, and Ernie alone on a panel together haha. They just state the obvious in broken English. "I think that the spurs may have a legitimate chance of winning the west, you heard it here first," c’mon Shaq. Ernie Johnson (more of a facilitator in the first place) is not enough to carry an analyzation of a first half where the Spurs tactically picked apart the Lakers transition defense. Again, the utmost respect for the guys, but TNT what are you doing!?!?

love love the tnt guys.  ernie, shaq, kenny, and charles are hilarious.  its more of a comedy variety show than a basketball show.

i agree like i said they make great compliment guys to real analysts but i wanna hear people talk about how the laker bigs are switching screens and what the lakers can do to win this game. everyone knows shaq and chuck can be funny but i dont think there’s anything wrong with having expectations of both comedy and analysis from a halftime report

Chris Webber, is better with the show. He is a very funny and intelligent guy and it comes natural. Now the show has gotten out of hand with the constant jking around.
