Now that the NCAA’s date for underclassmen to withdraw from the draft (and retain college eligibility) has passed, it’s time to check back in with our third mock draft of the season. Remember, however, that the NBA allows players to declare for the draft up until April 29, so the NCAA can’t do anything to stop a player from changing his mind and declaring in the next few weeks. But we have our first clear look at who’s in and out of the draft. What follows is our best stab at a first-round mock draft after taking into account team needs.

(If you want to see what your team would do with the No. 1 pick, play our Lottery Mock Draft, which has more than 2,000 scenarios. Also check out our Top 100 list, which is a reflection of the consensus of NBA scouts and GMs about a player’s relative draft value.)

Indy has a player like Teague, and his name is Darren Collison. I’d rather them get depth in the frontcourt now that Foster’s retired.

No way Toronto picks Beal, unless they trade Derozan. The need protypical small forward who can shoot the only way they don’t take Barnes if  he is gone Beal is and undersized shooting guard as it is . Has terrible workouts everywhere he goes or they end up in 1 spot. I don’t believe they will pick MKG even if he is their as the already lack shooting and MKG can’t provide that. So if comes down between Beal and Barnes its a no brainer.

I actually like Beal going to Toronto. The Raptors need a swing man that can shoot as DeRozan cannot. Beal has that great shooting form and can become a very good shooter. The player they draft does not have to be a SF because DeRozan can slide down into the 3 spot (has the height and length for it), which he actually did when Bayless came back from injury. But I’d be happy with Barnes or Beal. We just need a wing man that can shoot the ball consistently.
