surveParticipanthttp://nbadraft.net/forum/mcdonalds-team-selection-flawed
Good topic last year. What about this years notable snubs?
also….MikeyV’s predictions: http://nbadraft.net/forum/2012-mcdonalds-all-american-predictions (he called the Danuel House snub)

UNCbasketballbumParticipantI was wondering how they exactly decide who is a mcdonal’s all-american. I was looking at the class rankings and saw NC State signee Tyler Lewis was ranked 42 and a hamburger all-american but Brice Johnson, ranked 30th, wasn’t.

jeff416ParticipantDanuel House should have made it.

surveParticipantas referenced in the previous posts…it seems to be more of a pattern today that Mickey D’s are mostly commits to majors with a few mid-major commits sprinkled in. without looking I can remember Adonal Foyle back in the day being in the game and he went to Colgate and recently, Ray McCallum who plays for Detroit.

mikeyvthedonParticipantSnubs are going to happen in McDonald’s. Most of them are probably due to some grade issue or politics, not to mention playing in the right tournaments or for the right schools. As long as they get a majority of the best players, which they tend to, than I am pretty cool with it. If there is one guy I think might have been snubbed, it was Glenn Robinson III. From all I have seen and heard, he is more than just Big Dog’s son. Not saying he will have the impact of his dad, but like Tim Hardaway Jr., this guy might be a really solid contributor for Michigan out of the gate with possible NBA aspirations.

akhan786ParticipantLol at the Jordan Brand Classic Game rosters.
Brice Johnson and J.P. Tokoto (RANKED IN THE 80’S)
Jordan had a hand in this lol.

paradigmnParticipant6-foot 7 Wisconsin commit Sam Dekker is my snub.
Top 20 player in the class of 2012 from a number of recruiting services and while Bo Ryan tends to not play freshmen that much…look for Sam to change that this up-coming season.
2011-12 highlights
Championship Game Buzzer Beater!!!

mikeyvthedonParticipantBut, he indeed was left out. Seems like he is worlds more advanced than Tokoto and should be a much more complete player down the road. I love the way Bo Ryan develops his players and while he may not get the most flashy guys, they get a whole lot better playing in his system. Dekker should absolutely flourish and could see immediate PT, though Ryan is known for bringing guys along slowly.
Para, was checking your site and saw Dominic Artis’ pic on Braxton Ogbueze’s profile, with I believe Javan Felix’s on Dominic’s. I may be biased, but I truly believe Artis is underrated amongst PG’s by most services and I might rank him top 5. Know that Tyler Lewis gets more love, but I would have loved to have seen Findlay play Oak Hill. I know Oak Hill was loaded, but seeing Dominic take on Lewis would be really interesting.
I think Kris Dunn, Marcus Paige and Yogi Ferrell are the best PG prospects, probably followed by Semaj Christon. I also actually think Gabe York might end up being a solid, Jerryd Bayless type PG prospect as well, so maybe that leaves Dominic just outside the top 5. I do not believe Lewis or Ogbueze are above Artis and I think he would have been better than James Robinson for the Hoop Summit. I know Ryan Arcidiacono is pretty sick, but the injury kind of scares me. Personally, think Dominic had something even when UCLA picked him up, so I am just really high on him amongst this year’s underwhelming PG class.
I liked that you ranked Jordan Adams higher than most, he is another player I feel was getting slept on. Also like you having Poythress top 10, just seems to make sense in this class. Guys I maybe like a bit more than you do are Rodney Purvis, Brandon Ashley (only a tiny bit, but maybe even more than Grant Jerrett), Gabe York, Dominic Artis and Archie Goodwin (who despite a shaky jumper, seems to have much more athletic upside than Gary Harris or Rasheed Sulaimon in my mind, though they are all pretty close). I think you know by now I am not too high on McGary and while I think you have every right to rank him where you please, just think there might be better college and NBA prospects behind him. Will give out my rankings soon, kind of wanted to wait for Jordan Brand to see if anything changed, but I doubt it will have much significance of where guys are in my mind.

paradigmnParticipantI watch Domic absolutely tear it up at the 2012 Spalding Hoophall Classic….so…I def like his game…honestly…with all the PG in the class of 2012…there really isn’t one that seperates himself from the rest…even Kris Dunn…who I think is the #1 pg in the class….isn’t heads & shoulders above the rest….like other PG’s in the past.
About Mitch…I brought McGary to the site…so…I got to ride with him for at least half his freshman year…to see what he’s working with…before I judge further….maybe having him at #20 is a little high….but….hopefully he can get back his intensity…which….after he BLEW up…he seems to have lost.
