The two things that i feel the Knicks should upgrade on is a Point guard and Center. Two guys i feel would be a good fit in knicks systems is Brandon Jennings or Ty Lawson. For big if they look to go that way I would get Jordan Hill. Hill is a guys would fit perfect in that up and down style of play. He is not that polished but he has a enough skills to succeed with the knicks. for Jennings i think he is another Kenny Anderson younger days. people who don’t remember Anderson all i can say he the best point guard to play in the ACC ever and was really good with Nets and Trailblaers.

A speedy guard would definitely be a plus for the Knicks

    drew2288 !!!!

you need to get windmill-dunked in the face for saying Kenny Anderson is the best PG ever played in the ACC.
CP3 is clearly what you should have said !!!

They need a new coach. Dantoni will never win a champoinship and thats what NYK wants again. Defence wins champoinships, not great fast break systems (which he has).

With an exodus of the Isiah Thomas players coming in the next 2 years, they should pick up at least 1 guy this year for some stability who can play right away. If I were them, Id draft the closest thing to a sure thing I can find. They need to lure some big free agents, and I think if they had a leading rookie next year and maybe guys like Wilson Chandler and David Lee locked up , they would be able to make a very nice pitch to all the ridiculous free agents in that class. The guy I think is the best pick for them is Steph Curry. I think he can play a Barbosa like role in the system as a speedy 2 guard who makes threes and is also the backup point. He would also be a very marketable player.

Don’t forget he and LeBron are pretty good friends….If New York is really serious about making a run of LeBron James, Steph Curry really could go along ways in making that step.

I am going start this by saying that my opinion is based on the get the 8th pick like they are suppose to.

Also the Knicks to make their mind up about which players they will resign. Lee and Robinson are the 2 toughest decisions.

At this point based on what I think the following players will be off the draft board. Also in this order by the way.
Griffin, Thabeet, Rubio, Harden, Jennings, DeRozan, Curry.

If the team lets Lee walk I could see them using this pick on Jordan Hill. He can play a fast paced style that the Knicks want to play.

If they decide not to resign Robinson, I could see the Knicks going with Ty Lawson as well. He likes to play fast paced, and has improved his range a lot this year.

Right now those are the 2 players I see the Knicks focusing on.

i want rubio dejuan blair and varnado.

    1-rubio 2-chandler 3-gallinari 4-blair 5-varnado.

blair would bring strength to the frontcourt as evidence of his sonning of thabeet.varnado would bring shot blocking.

Blair? i don’t want that cat no where near NY. As if we need a that short of a front court. Varnado has no offensive game. Give me a Rubio/Jennings/Evans/Curry at the guard spots and the only bigs i would want in this draft outside of Griffin would be Hill/Mullens.

i want to see johnny flynn in a knicks uniform. he is a reach at 8 though. so steph curry makes sense or if james harden slips to them. then they need big bodies at the pf and center positions. the only problem is the strongest guys are undersized pf’s. does anyone see the knicks taking a chance on bj mullens at 8? i definately don’t think mullens should be a lottery pick but a seven footer with athleticism in D’Antoni’s system might be an option. what do you guys think?

BJ Mullens would be a big reach at the 8th spot. If we can get another pick to get him then yeah.

yea i agree he would be a reach. i personally wouldn’t draft him until about pick 18. but centers always get the benefit of the doubt. draft examples- eddy curry, tyson chandler, kwame brown, and rafael araujo. contract ex- jerome james, darko, sam dalembert, and andris biedrins. i guess the real question is if the knicks take mullens at 8, would you be surprised based on recent history of centers being over valued?

If we stay at 8 and Jennings is gone then we have to get Evans. He is the only player left after Griffin, Rubio, or Jennings to even have a chance at superstardom. The Knicks only superstar in 30+ years is Ewing. How many championships have we won in the last 30+ years. What’s the last team to win a ring without a superstar? Dont say Detroit. We’re not going to get Lebron or Wade so we have to get one through the draft. This year we need Tyreke Evans and Terrence Williams. Next year we have to do anything we have to do to get John Wall and a shotblocker. Maybe Monroe. Anybody on our team is expendable, even our favorites; Lee and Chandler.

The next NBA superstar; JOHN WALL=D.Rose+D.Wade
