BJ won’t get past pick 13. I’m not sure why he didn’t play more in the tourney, but at the end of their last game when he got some PT he was solid, some what clutch. There is no way you can pass up that much size and fundamentalism if you are Charlotte of Indiana. There is no guaranteed talent after pick 10 so why not add some more size to your team?

I’m just curious what “fundamentalism” are you talking about. The problem with BJ Mullens is that he has HIGH bust potential and he seems to have poor work ethic. Mullens didnt seem to get a whole lot better as the season progressed. I hope he has the desire to get better because he has a nice blend of size and athleticism….

Post skills are rated 8 on this site. Even with Griffin, which is right on point. Griffin has alot more strenth, but Mullens compensates with length. OOOOhhh!! I’m rymin’ Simon. Post skills spell F-U-N–D-A-M-E-N-T-A-L phenom son. So sit down and sip your cool-aid and watch a grown man’s game.

I honestly think that as of today, If he were 1 on 1 back to the basket with an average NBA center, he wouldnt be able to score at least 8 out of 10 times. He has nothing even resembling a method of scoring other than putbacks that will be NBA ready within two years. He wont get the opportunities to try at this level, and will stunt his development. I dont see him bieng the high energy type either whose defense makes a difference at the other end, and while he is pretty tall and kinda athletic, I dont think 7 feet with no skill or past production translates well. My problem with him is that I can’t think of a single player he reminds me of who has done well. I don’t think he is any better an athlete than we thought Chris Mihm was.

There will be plenty of playing time in Charlotte or Indiana. I wouldn’t mind Phoenix drafting the guy either. GO SUNS! Of course playing time would be limited in PHX. The next viable option is Minnesota at 18, if he atleast doesn’t get drafted there I will shoot myself or Kevin McHale. Putting him alongside Jefferson would be his optimal situation. He would definately get PT. He is compared to Chris Kaman which is fare, and would be an incredible compliment if Kaman wasn’t injured all the time. If Mullens can avoid an injury plagued career, he will acheive the same success that Robert Swift acheived before mistakenly deciding he needed to put on weight.

BJ- You got length son. That’s all you need. Keep it real and keep it skilled.

    I’m out.

Kobe is so overrated. He won’t win another Championship while Lebron is in the league. Lebron will finally bring the legitimate “Better than Jordan” debate that Kobe never could. No one can touch the Cavs this year, and who knows for how many in the future? Phil Jackson is done after this year and so are the Lakers.

He runs the floor better the Mihm, thats for sure. He’s got some touch, but I dont know if this kid wants to be great. I hope he isnt content with just being in the league and wants to get better. A couple years ago I thought BJ was going to be a really good white american center which is reaaallly lacking in the NBA. All these 7 footers out in the world need to STEP THERE GAME UP. Best White American Centers Currently: Brad Miller, Chris Anderson, Joel Pryzbilla? It’s looking pretty grim, maybe this kid will suprise. I say he falls in the range of 12-22.

Hes not getting past Chicago Bulls. They need him more then any team. Bulls have no prototypical Center and they’re scoring inside is just pitiful. They’re point guards scores more inside than the big men.

Jamescmedlock could I get the powerball numbers too. I love your basketball insight and understanding of the game. So you don’t even give the Lakers a chance? BTW, how is Kobe overrated?

B.J Mullens is a little overrated. Even as a big presence he had soft post skills and needed to stay in the college game to improve his game to better potential. He played but wasnt very effective. He has a lot of work to do for a 7 footer
