GlenTaylorSucksParticipantESPN’s rumor control says the Wolves are going hard after Jamal Crawford. I think this would be a great deal for the Wolves, as it would fill their biggest hole, and make them a legitimate playoff team. The question is, what do they give Portland in return? Wes Johnson or Beasley? Randolph?

Future_Scoutif im the wolves, im not giving up beasley for crawford.
it would be a nice having that much needed go-to guy off the bench

kngojcParticipantWhat about a trade of Jamal Crawford and Gerald Wallace for Beasely, Wes Johnson, and Martell Webster (his stock is rising after a couple of good games he’s put together lately)? Minnesota gets a great shot creator in Crawford and a great defender and high energy, not to mention veteran, in Wallace. Portland gets young talent that have defensive potential and lots of scoring from Beasely and Webster.

BiggysmallsParticipantIve heard it could be a 3 way deal that would send Sessions to the Blazers, Beasley to the Cavs and Crawford to the Wolves. I have no idea if this actually has legs to it but it could be intriguing if it went down.

NbanflguyParticipantCrawford was very close to signing with the Wolves this offseason, but chose Portland at the last second. He would be a great fit.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipant@kngojc: I would take that deal in a second. A starting lineup of Rubio, Crawford, Wallace, Love, Pekovic, with D-Will 2.0 as the 6th man would be a very good lineup.
@Futurescout: A valid point, but at the same time, the Wolves are getting ZERO production at the 2. Wes Johnson is useless and should be in the D league,Webster is no starter, and Ellington is an 8th man at best. They’ll still have Williams to bring a spark off the bench if Beasley goes.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI do not want any of those guys. Just me, would rather keep Jamal or trade him somewhere else than trade for anyone that the person that wants to FireKahn is trying to give the Blazers. Wesley Johnson, maybe. But, while I see why the Timberwolves would want Jamal, I do not know why the Blazers want either Beasley, Johnson or Randolph. For a team struggling with identity and chemistry, that is not working for me.

torontoraptors10ParticipantI think the Trail Blazer are going to go after JJ Barea or Luke Ridnour. They do need to solidfy their PG position. Jamal Crawford isn’t a true PG and Felton is struggling in Nate McMillan’s system.

river09ParticipantWhat about jordan crawford from the wizards so that the wolves can hold onto beasley… The wolves don’t need a star, just a solid acceptable excuse for SG might just do the trick…

wuteverParticipantI am a Wizards fan and I would take any offer for Jordan Crawford. I don’t care, I can’t stand Jordan Crawford playing and ruining our team chemistry as bad as it is already.

river09ParticipantOr Wes Matthews from portland, if jj barea can be moved for him that might work a bit better..

mds0549ParticipantWith Nick Young an RFA at the end of the year, there is no way that the Wizards trade away one of their good, young players. I don’t know that Portland would take Webster back but I love the idea of getting Wallace and Crawford for some veteran leadership and scoring.

wuteverParticipantI honestly would be suprised if the Wiz match any offers made for Young next year, most Wizards fans want Young out of town. He is just another Wizard talent filled player without a brain. Doesnt play a lick of defense, doesnt rebound, doesnt pass, only thing he knows to do is jack up shots.

BlueLacesParticipantI read a post that they are talking about swapping Rindour for Crawford. Makes sense for both sides. Rindour played for McMillan in Seattle and Felton has been struggling. Crawford almost signed with the Wolves and has recently praised Adelman’s offensive philosophies. Not to mention, a legit 2 guard is by far the Wolves biggest need right now.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantRidnour for Crawford is even better! That would make sense for both teams. However, if Kahn can somehow get them to take Barea instead…I may have to change my name. Haha

PulseGlazerParticipantI like JJ more than Ridnour, FireKahn. Ridnour for Mattews would be a coup, but for Crawford is a really good idea.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI wouldn’t trade Beasley for Jamal Crawford if I were the Wolves, not when the Wolves would likely have to include other pieces to make it happen…The Blazers don’t benefit either, what happen to "RIP CITY"
I agree with Mikey that Beasley doesn’t make sense in Portland, McMillian is a defensive coach, and Beasley is not an Elton Brand type of power forward that plays defense and rebounds…The Blazers also have Batum and Aldridge locked in at Sf and Pf, unless Beasley is being used as a 6th man here(which I doubt he’d be down for longterm) then it doesn’t manke sense…
I think Randolph and Ridnour for Crawford makes some sense, figure in the Blazers adding something to sweeten it for Minny(future 1st or 2nd round pick)
Beasley needs a starting job if he’s to be traded…Portland is not that place(unless they’re down for a rental)
I still want Beasley in Philadelphia, I think he could become the future PF here(with 1 year of Brand’s mentoring)
I dont think the Blazers are in The Beasley trade sweepstakes, so rest easy Mikey, I know how much you detest Beasley and I want you to know this trade is garbage(the Blazers give up Jamal and Gerald Wallace in this scenario, crazy I tell you)

aamir543ParticipantNot sure why Portland would look to Minny, but Minny is making a very smart move, however I would be hesitant to include Derrick Williams in a deal as such. I belive that the T-Wolves have a great team right now and are a SG away from being a 5-6 seed type team in the playoffs, however I believe long term it would be in their best interest to try to keep Williams. I know a SG might very well put them over the top, but even with Crawford it would still be tough to move up in the standings, although it would put them in a better position to make a historic playoff run. At the end of the day, I try to get as much as I can for Beasley, and see what I can get. I don’t believe that Potland would have any particular interest in Beasley, but nontheless the T-Wolves are headed in the right direction, however, I would try my best to obtain Kevin Martin though, Martin is a guy that I believe can put the T-Wolves at the next level, even moreso than Crawford. However Crawford would be a great addition as well, and if the aforementioned deal of Beasley to Cleveland, Sessions to Portland, Crawford to Minny turns out to be true, I would love their chances agianst say a Dallas or LA. Even though those are veteran teams and are battle tested, this season is very grueling, and I believe that the young legs would prevail. It looks to be a very interesting second half of the season.

aamir543Participant^The Lakers get raped in that deal, not the worst deal though, but I don’t think the Lakers recieve enough.

cstyle96ParticipantHopefully,
This can be the deal.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7vnsaal
and send the trade exception to the blazers of Odom
And hopefully we just lose Beasly.

cstyle96ParticipantThe lakers will get space to sign a guy like nick young or o.j mayo with Johnny Flynn they will make the playoffs with this team cause they still will have kobe and bynum.
