18pts-8reb-1ast-1.5blk&stl on 45% shooting and attempting 6.5 FT a game

against 11 ranked teams… arizona, texas A&M, UK, CONN, louisville, marquette, georgetown (x2), duke, SYR, notredame.

making a case that he plays better on big games.

Confidence and hard work pays off.

Basketball is all about confidence, if you got the talent all you need is confidence.

After seeing how athletic and smooth his game is for 6’8 I’m really suprised he wasn’t ranked higher coming out of high school. He could leave this year and be a first round pick for sure.

Not really. He had the monster game against Duke. Everything else is just more or less normal. In games where he can overwhelm the defense with his length and athleticism, he is good. When he can’t, he is a freshman who needs to learn to shoot.

I go to St. Johns and have gone to every home game but UCLA (sold my tickets to get money back i paid for the tickets) and Moe Harkless needs to atleast stay in school 1 more year. Someone said something about co nfidence and it’s funny because i don’t think he has any. With the game on the line i guarantee the ball will be in d’angelo harrisons hands and not his. He is too tenative with his shot taking ability and needs to put on weight. He also has never boxed out once and tries to outjump people but gets pushed around by bigger guys. Also his dribbling ability is still at a high school level and his crossover is really slow. He could benefit from another year, especially with lavin coming back and really working on his game. That being said i could see him being Marvin Williams clone, and leave and get drafted way to high and be nothing more than a role player because that’s the type of player i see him as.

Ive seen him play many times and he is a definite NBA player but I think he could use one more year in school to maximise his stock and potential

Harkless needs to improve his perimeter skill set a bit more. He isn’t a polished player in terms of his skill set and it would show if he came out this year. He has the potential to be somewhere along the Wilson Chandler-Rudy Gay kinds of lines due to his size, developing skills, and athleticism, but he doesn’t quite have the polish to play consistently in the NBA. Especially with his shot and handle, although he has nice potential to improve both areas.
