r377ParticipantAll predictions are what they will eventually put up – not these stats as a rookie….
1 – Irving – I thought he would develop into a 18-20p 8-9a. 3-5 time all-star. I thought he might have needed a bit more time to develop but he looks the goods. 18-6 in Feb future all star
2 – Derrick Williams – We all were not sure if he was a 3 or 4. I was quite high on him and thought he would be a 16-18p 7/8r guy. The wolves are log jammed at forward but at the moment I would say he may not live up the expectations worthy of a no2 pick……
3 – Enes Kanter – There was quite a few on here who thought he might turn out to be the best of this class. I thought he would be a a 15-17p 8/9r guy. Hasn’t had much time but might turn out like that, looks like a solid rebounder in limited mins.
4 – Tristian Thompson – Was taken earlier than i thought here. I thought he would be a solid pro, a 14/16p-8 sorta guy. Averaged 8 boards in Feb. Scoring and fg is down but he should still be a decent player.
6 – Jan Vesely – All his highlight dunks i thought he was a bit overrated. On a scale of 0 being a complete bust, 5 being average and 10 being a superstar, I thought he might be a 3or4. A bit disappointing compared to his hype but not a complete bust. I haven’t seen him play. He hasn’t had much time and i think he was injured for a bit ?
7 Biyombo – I thought he was taken early and may not live up to the hype. Raw offensively. I predicted 10/11p 8/9r and a top 5 shot blocker in the league. He has started to come on strong in Feb and may live up to those stats
8 – Brandon Knight – A steal here, I thought he would go at 3 to Utah. I thought he would be a very good player, maybe play in 1 or 2 all star games. irving has outplayed him twice but Knight looks like a great pro and could well be the second best player in the draft behind Irving…
9 – Walker – I thought he might be a 3-4 year starter or a good sixth man on a championship team ( a bit like a Jason Terry role). Averaged 15p in Feb and so far has exceeded my expectations of him.
10 – Jimmer – I thought he would be a decent 6 or 7th man putting up similar stats to JJ Reddick plus a few more assists being a PG. Hard to say so far how he will turn out as his FG is down and the Kings are a bit of a mess at the moment
11 – Klay Thompson – I quite liked him and thought he would be a solid pro 14-16ppg. So far he looks quite good and may eventually exceed those scoring stats…
12 – Alex Burks – Alot of guys on here liked him, some said he would be a 16-20ppg. I was never that high on him and thought he might have been overhyped. He Hasn’t had much time so the verdict is still out on him
13 – Markieff Morris – I thought he would be a solid pro and put up Udonis Haslem type stats. 12p 9r. So far he looks ok and could well produce those stats
25 – Marshon Brooks – I didn’t know too much about him but he has played very well and exceeded everyone’s expectations. Has averaged 15ppg and looks like he might develop into a 20ppg guy
60 (last pick) – Isiah Thomas. I remember there were a few guys on here saying that he would make a roster spot and was a steal at 60. If that was you, congrats…. He has put up 12-3 in Feb
My favourites – I love hard working defenders who do the little things. My two guys were Chris Singleton and Kenneth Faried. I predicted they would both have NBA careers and play at least 6 or 7 seasons. For a 18 and 22 pick thats pretty successful – I stand by this prediction.

So raspyParticipantFaried is a beast, gotta love somebody who plays like that. I’ve been really surprised by Brandon Knight, who looks like a long-term starting PG in Detroit with Monroe. Also expected a little more from Jimmer. Realized he was going to have to adjust his game which would take some time, but I thought he’d at least get consistent minutes.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think until Wolves handled their logjam, we will not know how good Derrick Williams will be. Evan Turner is in a similiar situation but possibly worse. Turner should be a 18 pt 5 asst 6 rb guy or better and he is getting hardly any minutes. Williams will show a lot more next year when he gets consitent minutes. He actually had a few good game when got starter minutes.

kngojcParticipantDerrick Williams proved that he can be a good forward for the Wolves in limited action. When Beasely went down with an injury, Williams became the starter. He averaged I think something around 12 points and 8 rebounds during that time. So for a PF that’s decent, as a SF that’s still only decent but good for being a strong rebounder.
I think the deal with him is his mindset. He’s not even sure if he’s a 3 or a 4 and that’s what causes so much issues. Adelman said he would be playing more of the 4 but he wants to play the 3. So when he’s on the court, he tries to stretch the D and shoot three pointers which he isn’t terrible at like Wes Johnson but he’s definitely better in mid range and going to the hoop. I just hope he gets on the same page as the coach because if he can, it’ll be in his best interest for the future because with such a good coach, he can develop his game to be a big time player in this league.
Also, the other player that I’ve been keeping tabs on is Brandon Knight. He’s been very effective for a rookie PG and I think pairing him with Stucky has been good for him. He’s a very good shooter and a willing passer and with Monroe on his team, he has a safety net to fall back on if he can’t do it by himself. Not to mention he’ll only get better as he gets older. I see him as a potential 20-9 kinda guy with the Pistons having consistent winning seasons.
