OhCanada-ParticipantGuess we can start watching the skills competition now. Lol at P-Diddy "the revolution will be televised".

butidonthavemoneyThese were all meh. George had the best idea, but even that didn’t impress me a whole lot.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantjumping over props contest

BasketBalAllanParticipantNot a bad dunk by J evans with the double ball.

butidonthavemoneyI spoke too soon.

OhCanada-ParticipantWilliams stole Griffins missed dunk from last year (Griffin also stole it from Derozan who did it much better…).
Georges 2nd dunk was very nice and wouldve probally been better if I could see it. Just a little bit more light on the rim at least would have been nice.
Evans had the best dunk byfar but his first dunk was horrible.
I want George to advance because I know he has something special in store. Evans had the best dunk so he also deserves to advance but it seems like Williams has also been holding back some.

akhan786ParticipantWow that Evans two basketball dunk, the George glow in the dark dunk, and D-Will’s 360 off the backboard were sick.

OhCanada-ParticipantWhat a farse. Farse, Shananigans, Phonie, BS, commercialized, conformists.
He could see. This is worse than wrestling at times. Lets get some good dunks in Evans, Williams, and George.

NiceWithTheRockParticipantcharles barkley is too funny! easily my favorite commentator
nice contest btw so far

HaleParticipantPaul George was the only one with 3 great dunks, too bad he missed a bit much. Might cost him.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:08pm #641394

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantdo they even practice these dunks?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:08pm #641395

MJ FOR LIFE 23Participantlast few dunks weren’t that bad, but it needs to pick up so much more than this snail race right now.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:08pm #641400

HaleParticipantEasily. Evans had the best dunk, but George had the best group of dunks by far.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:08pm #641396

akhan786ParticipantEh WAY better than I thought it’d be. I still think getting rid of the judges was a mistake. I like waiting for the suspense of the scores and seeing the judges hold up numbers.
George should win this.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:09pm #641402

BasketBalAllanParticipantWell that was the least exciting dunk contest in a long while. Sad to see what it has been reduced to.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:10pm #641397
DurantsWingspanJohn Wall would have beaten all these guys with his dunks from the rookie game.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:10pm #641398

butidonthavemoneyI heart Jeremy Evans!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:10pm #641399

akhan786ParticipantWOW definitely thought Paul George got robbed.

0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:15pm #641405

akhan786ParticipantNah the one two years ago with Gerald Wallace and company was a snooze fest. This was a little bit better.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:15pm #641407

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantKenny Smith plays a role in ruining these contests. Why does he have to ask the dunkers what they are going to do? I rather be surprise even if it sucks.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:17pm #641409
joecheck88ParticipantCharles Barkley was gold tonight.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:21pm #641412

wuteverParticipantI thought there was gonna be another round. I thought they were holding back amazing dunks for the final round. I don’t believe it just ended like that. Possibly the worst dunk contest ever.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:22pm #641413
wenichParticipantU called it……worst dunk contest ever,,,,and totally agree with OldSkool Kenny Smith just made it 10 times worse if that’s even possible
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 6:29pm #641419

NiceWithTheRockParticipanti wonder if there are any dunks that haven’t been done

i want to see a 360 btl windmill tomahawk reverse

aamir543ParticipantWow, that was lame. Even worse than 2010.
On the last dunk DWill couldn’t even get up. Each guy had one great dunk, and the rest were average or below it, Evans did do pretty well, the two ball dunk OVER Gordon Hayward is top 30 all time. I know you’ll disagree, but that one was sweet.
Other than that, it was fake. Hated it. They take 5 or 6 tries to do simple dunks. Even George’s Glow in the dark dunk was nice, but all hype, we couldn’t even see it properly. Budinger’s blindfolded one was nice, but we’ve seen much better.
DeMar DeRozan was right, the contest is tainted by all of these props. The Dunk Contest is dead unless we get Lebron in this. Imagine if Lebron had the balls, to do it, Westbrook did it, and Rose and Griffin, that would be an instant classic. Too bad this is the no balls league, they’re too scared, but I would be thrilled if Westbrook did it. Shumpert is so raw ahtletically, he would’ve been good, but then we wouldn’t have gotten to see Evans.
All Star Weekend has been lame thus far, even though we had a good Rising Stars game, the crowd was LAME. They weren’t even hyped up for the dunk contest, they weren’t even cheering. Even the players were like WTF.

The crowd was absolutely horrible. I dont understand it. If you do not want to be there, then dont be there. Kevin Durant and Ryan Anderson were the only ones to get any kind of reaction and even those were weak. I still enjoyed all star weekend, but the crowd was lame.

ProudGrandpaParticipantNow, I was rooting for George, the Indiana boy, but I don’t think you guys can just say that he got robbed. It was his to losse after 2 rounds, but his last dunk was the weakest of the competition. But yes, I would’ve voted for George.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/25/2012 - 7:55pm #641453
LazarusMunozParticipantmaybe in the future they should open the last remaining spot in the competition to the public…let some guy who once played JV for Long Beach State or some playground legend who never made it,the opportunity to compete

aamir543ParticipantOut of cuiosity, do any of us hardcore fans actually vote for this stuff? I was on NBA.com, and I saw that you could vote there, but no one was worth voting for. I mean, if the casual fans voting, it’s a shame that this is what the dunk contest has been reduced to. I mean, they’re just marketing to the idiots that don’t even watch or care about basketball too much, cause they’re the ones that want to vote for mediocore dunks and actually buy their merchandise.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI saw DJ Stephens do better dunks at Memphis Madness.
