Meditated StatesParticipantI think Ellis is better. I would shop Curry or just keep them both. I actually am agreeing Ellis is underrated. I don’t see a reckless jacker when I watch. I like Kobe but feel he recklessly jacks a lot more than Ellis. Kobe is obviously a better player but still. I would keep Ellis.

rileymcshea3ParticipantHonestly Steph Curry isnt as good as Monta but its best for the Warriors and Monta if they trade him.

PrometheusParticipantCurry is a ridiculously efficient player for a point guard. He has a perfect jumper that he can hit from anywhere, has good passing abilities, and a high IQ. Having said that, Ellis is definitely underrated he gets 5.8 assists per game scores over 20 points per game and has a career average of 0.466 from the field, these are very very very good numbers for a SG. He’s just not a very good 3 point shooter.
Prior to this season I would have argued that there is no way you shop Curry over Ellis, however, in light of Curry’s ongoing ankle issues, the playing field is definitely leveling out to the point where shopping Curry doesn’t seem too ridiculous.
I still think you keep Curry largely because of how dangerous he is beyond the 3 point line and how efficient a scorer he is. Last year he averaged around 19 points per game while only taking around 14 shots per game. Those are elite numbers. You simply cannot let this kid shoot, and this helps to spread the floor and opens up room for the big men inside. He increases the overall offensive efficiency of the team. Ellis does not do this and I think thats why you take Curry over Ellis.
The big question here is what is up with Steph’s ankle???
