Neither put up eye poping numbers in europe this past season, but both are still teenagers and have good size for the position, rubio at about 6’4″ and Jennings at about 6’2″. Jennings is more athletic, but his jumpshot is a question mark. Rubio has a high basketball i.q., which u cant teach, and tremendous court vision, but there’s always a chance he could turn out to be a gaurd version of that number two pick from 2003 we dare not speak of(Darko Milicic), any thoughts?

That is a completely ridiculous statement with no base other than the fact that both are European.
99 out of 100 NBA scouts would tell you that Ricky Rubio is the better prospect.
About 1 out of 2 nbadraft.net messageboard members will pick Jennings, though.
So, really, it comes down to who you trust more, since most of us have limited knowledge of either player’s prospects.

  Rubio cant shoot at all jennings not that good but he’s good enough not to leave open. Rubio is not athletic if u dont believe me then how come in the olympics or in any of his highlights he dont dunk. Jennings has a 40 inch vert. Rubio might pass better but jennings can pass just as good as rubio only advantage rubio has is his height but i think John Wall is going to be better than both of them. Like or not rubio is goin to be a draft bust.

From what I have seen and heard, I would take Rubio. He is already ready to start for most team at only 18 which definitely looks good but I will say that Jennings has more upside but the thing is will he every reach it.

from what u have seen as far as what?..you tube highlights?..olympics( rubio avg 4pts 3ast and 2 turnovers)

Rubio is far more athletic than any of you give credit for, he may not be a dunker, but neither are Steve Nash or Jason Kidd, or Gary Payton. dunking, or ups, are not a main part of being a point guard. Rubio was the Euroleague Defensive Player of the Year, and Led that league in 3point percentage at near 50 percent. Jennings is playing half the game and not putting up near the numbers Rubio is. Jennings may turn out to be a great player, but right now, Rubio is better, and Rubio’s ceiling based on his basketball IQ, Shooting Ability, and Passing Ability, coupled with his defense, is at least as high as Jennings’.

Jennings is more suited to the American style (shoot first, athleticism undoubted), and Rubio is the best bballer. I can understand why you like BJ, (he’s flashy), but that is not effective sometimes.
How many Javaris Crittenton do you need to get your mind about that fixed? Not everyguy is Allen Iverson, top-5 scorer in every of his 10 prime seasons, ROY and the best SG on his day. And AI topped the league in steals.
BJ is not AI. So he’d better learn how to play team ball and defense before we compare him to a regular +25 ppg scorer.
Oh! And Rubio is not JKidd, he’ll never be, but he will learn to shoot because he’s a hard worker and shooting requires practice.
If I were a GM, I’d pick Rubio first. 1.- Marketing wise. 2.- Good chemistry. 3.- Flashy passer. 4.- Will be the best of the two.

yeah but these same scouts saay the euros that end up being bust are gonna be good but the good euros they say are just gonna be ok

I would have to choose Jennings over Rubio i mean Rubio did perform well in the olympics and is said to be something special. I just think Brandon Jennings is better and will have a better pro career.
