MVP- LeBron James (2nd place Chris Paul

DPOY- Andre Iguadola (He’s the leader of the team with the number one defense in the league right now)

    Rookie Of Year- Kyrie Irving.

M.I.P.- Jeremy Lin (No way he don’t win this award even if he don’t deserve it per say)

6th Man- Lou Williams (I cant remenber the last time a player lead his team in scoring from the bench)

COY- Doug Collins (Get’s the nod over a slew of great candidates because of what he’s gettin from his roster)

Dunk Conest- Iman Shumpert (This is going to be fan voted and Jeremy Lin is going to throw a few dunks to Shumpert there is no possible way he can lose the fan voting unless Budinger beats him for being white and white players in dunk contest are like short people they always get novelty nods)

    3 Point- Ryan Anderson

    Finals- Thunder vs Heat

    Lottery Winner- The Hornets

Forgot that Team Chuck will win the BBVA Rising Stars Comp.  MVP is going to be Wall again for being snubbed in the draft.

And The East will win the All Star game and Dwight Howard win be the MVP because it’s in Orlando.

drafted Wall as low as they did. hopefully he’ll use it as motivation to work on all aspects of basketball. Shaq had a horrible draft IMO.

Coach of the year – Kevin Mchale

He has like 10 players playing at a high level, no superstars but they all play hard and win games. Kinda like the west coast Philly but the West is stronger top to bottom so their record doesn’t look as pretty as the Sixers looks.

I’d give the coach of the year to Greg Opovich, he’s manging to win games, while playing all his aging stars less than 35 minutes per game. He’s also doing wonders with his rookies and only he can make Matt Bonner look like a very good offensive weapon

    MVP: LeBron James

DPOY: Andre Iguodala (Dwight Howard will probably win it, but Iggy has been awesome on a great D as well)

MOP: Jeremy Lin (The media hath decided)

    ROY: Kyrie Irving

6th man: Lou Williams (Instant offense. He can shoot you into and out of a game, but has done much more of the former this year)

COY: Doug Collins (I think Kevin McHale deserves consideration and I truly do not like Doug Collins very much. But, he has done a great job with Philly this and last year)

    Dunk Contest Winner: Iman Shumpert

    3PT Contest Winner: James Jones

Team Shaq or Team Chuck: Team Chuck (I honestly would like Shaq to win, but John Wall is going to be PISSED. This guy won the MVP of the game last year and Cousins had a monster game as well. Granted, they were not playing against Greg Monroe and Blake Griffin, but I think Wall will want revenge for being the 12th pick and will get it)

All-Star Game MVP: Dwight Howard (This means I think the East is going to win and that Dwight will be put in a position to win the MVP in front of the home crowd)

All-Star Snubs: Are not really predictions, since they have already been announced. But, Paul Millsap was one to me.

Lebron is the MVP leader right now as he is playing the best basketball of his career. The fact that people think Chris Paul should get it now means that if Lebron slips up at all in the next few months the award is Pauls for the taking.

MVP – Its Lebron…not Paul; 28 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 6.7 apg, .546 fg% these numbers are other-worldly…He leads the Heat (best team in the NBA) in Points, assists, and steals, and is 0.2 behind Chris Bosh in rebounds.  AND Lebron is one of the better defenders in the game.  Lebron’s PER is 32.6 right now…Thats the best EVER.  I know its easy to not like the guy, but give the king his crown.

DPOY: Andre Iguodala, hes the best defender on the dest defensive team in the NBA.  Seriously, watch him on the defensive side of the ball, he doesnt let you get a good shot or get to the rim, plus Dwight has enough of these things.

Most Improved; Greg Monroe; It was between him and Anderson for me, but the main area of Anderson’s improvement has been in his 3 point shooting which shot up from a career best 0.390 last year to 0.440.  Im not so sure that he can maintain this and thusly, I think that the perception of his improvement in a bit inflated.  Monroe on the other hand has gone from a pretty good rookie to one of the better centers in the NBA and the best player on his team.  He shot 0.622 from the line last year.  This year, hes shooting 0.815 from the line.

6th Man: Lou Williams; You can make pretty good cases for a couple of players here (James Harden) but I think you give it to Lou right now.  He plays 26 minutes a game and leads the suprising 76ers in scoring (16 ppg).  He averages (22) points per 36 minutes which is better than Harden as well (19.5).  He’s also been acting as the teams closer and has been doing a pretty damn good job.  That is an enormous amount of value comming from a 6th man.

ROY: Kyrie Irving…Don’t need an explanation

Coach Of the Year: This is usually given to the coach of the most suprising team…So right now this one belongs to Doug Collins.

Chase Budinger will win the Dunk Contest, he’ll make Brent Barry proud…..

And I can’t help but think that Budinger accidently applied for the dunk contest instead of the three point contest…..

    • MVP – Lebron James
    • Defensive Player – Josh Smith
    • Most Improved – Two weeks ago, I would have said Kyle Lowry.  There’s no doubt it’s been decided already. Jeremy Lin
    • 6th man – James Harden — How can you even say Lou Williams?  Harden scores more points, gets .3 less assists, more rebounds, more blocks, more steals, better FG%, better 3PT%, better FT%, takes more FTs, and defends better.  How is it even close?
    • Coach of The Year – Doug Collins or Scott Brooks

Lou comes off the bench and plays 26 minutes a game, is the leading scorer, AND is the closer for a first place team in the East.  Harden plays 31 minutes per game.  All of the stats you mentioned are basically a wash when you compare the two on a per minute basis (which i will do later).  Where the real difference lays is value to their teams.  Harden plays with Kevin Durant AND Russell Westbrook the number 3 and 5 scorers in the NBA.  Opposing defenses need to gameplan around those two before they focus on Harden.  And when Harden is in at the same time as durant or westbrook, he gets more open looks because of the attention those two require.  Lou has to create his own shot most of the time.  Who else do opposing defenses have to worry about on the 76ers that even comes close to comparing to those 2?  Harden’s the 3rd scoring option on that team.  Lou is first on his team and hes the 6th man.  And on top of all that, hes relied upon to close games, which he has done very well (ex, Lou’s 4th quarter heroics against the Lakers).

You made your argument completely based off of stats, well here are some better stats that compare production per 36 minutes which gives you a more level understanding of what each player provides while on the floor

Lou Williams; 22 points, 3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.2 steals, 6.7 free throws attempted

James Harden; 19.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.1 steals, 7.3 free throws attempted

So what we have here are stats that are basically a wash, Harden shoots better field goal percentages (barely) but he gets a ton more open looks.  Plus, I will say this again for the sake of emphasis; Lou leads his team in scoring, and closes games in the 4th.  Even scores more than Harden on a per minute basis.

Harden’s been huge this year for OKC, but c’mon your argument is so narrowminded and void of an real thought that its offensive.  Lou is the 6th man of the year right now.

Promethus summed it up, but Lou is playing really well as the spark plug for that Sixers team. If I’m not mistaken, I believe he’s leading the team in scoring. 16 in 26 is a monster pace, but I guess Doug knows what he’s doing, he’ll probably get more minutes come April and May.

     Predictions

    Dunk contest winner- Shumpert

    3Point Shootout- Ryan Anderson

MVP- Lebron James, Pretty easy in my book this man is putting together one of the best seasons by a player in a while.

Rookie of the Year- Kyrie Irving, you could give this award to Rubio too but Kyrie has no one to work with and is putting up such good numbers that I think he is the clear favorite

6th Man- Lou Williams, leads his team in scoring and he comes off the bench.

Defensive player of the year-Dwight Howard, The man does it all on D, I think this is a easy one.

Coach-Doug Collins, this team was nothing until he came in and has made them realize they are a good team

MIP- Jeremy Lin, if he keeps up these stats or something close to it he has this award easy

    Dunk Contest- Paul George

3pt- James Jones, best spot up shooter in the contest from 3
