Maniac MaciejParticipantWho will have the better overall NBA career?

IndianaBasketballParticipantLin has a real position.

ilike.panochasParticipantThat other rookie Kings PG is out performing Jimmer (Isaiah Thomas).

PulseGlazerParticipantLin by far, I’d guess. Jimmer has been actively bad, and amazingly atrocious defensively.

Memphis MadnessParticipantMan the Kings could use Anthony Davis right about now. He would be perfect next to Demarcus Cousins.
P.S. If Jimmer continues to massively underperform and is unable to hit a decent amount of shots, then the short, stocky, massively-hyped, combo guard may live up to my prediction of being the next Dajuan Wagner (and not in a good way).

JunkYardDogParticipantlet’s be a little patient with fredette and remember all the coments made after the rookie season of steve nash behind kevin johnson, jason kidd, sam cassell under this suns run and gun squad (manning, ceballos, person, chapman, brown, finley… good ol’ days)
I remember one analyst saying something like that "nash is a soccer fan…. maybe he should have decided to play soccer instead of basketball". Fredette could still become a great player if he keeps on working and find a home like nash did in dallas…. and lin seems to do in NY.

Jlv2012Jimmer by a mile. Lin has a bigger hype right now though.

PulseGlazerParticipantMan, every single team in the NBA could use a talent like Anthony Davis.

FastAndFuriousParticipantStill cracks me up how people thought Jimmer would be better than KEMBA!

kanyedabestParticipantCould Jimmer have gone to a worse situation then sacremento? between tyreke, demarcus, and a plethora of other "greedy" ball players, theres not many shots left for jimmer….

TallmanNYCParticipantBetter than Kemba? Kemba is shooting 37%, just like Jimmer. Sure, Kemba is actually playing better than Jimmer, but both have to get better if they want to stick in the league. Jimmer has farer to go, but Kemba has by no means insured his next contract.

Johnny ChillHe is starting tonight vs the Pistons, along side Evans and Thornton. I thought he would great off the bench providing energy, fearlessness, and all out hustle. But looks like the Kings needs his play to start the game.
Looks like the last pick of the 2011 draft is carving out a little niche for himself.

mcbaileyParticipantLin, and it’s not even close. He’s not as big a liability defensively, and he displays better court vision by a wide margin.

PrometheusParticipantFredette’s game needs time, he’s not going to keep shooting this badly in the NBA, you all saw his range in college…the kid can shoot from anywhere on the court. When Jimmer starts hitting shots, the rest of his game will improve because defenders will be more worried about his shooting and the floor will open up…also, keep in mind that Lin wasn’t impressive at all as a rookie either.
Having said that, you obviously take Lin over fredette right now. Lin is playing in a system that maximizes his skill set and is surpassing all expectations showing great vision and an ability to draw contact and finish at the rim.
Fredette has an interesting future, he could burn out and do nothing, he could become a momentum scorer off the bench, he could become a solid pg, you really dont know what this guy will do in the NBA…either way, I dont think he reaches his potential sitting on the bench…he should be sent to the D league to develop some confidence and remind himself how great he was at BYU.
